    Pros

    Consistency as there is plenty of work and steady work. Their schedules are set, which can be nice.

    Cons

    The pay was very low compared to national and regional averages. Hard company to receive raises at and even then they were marginal.

    Pros

    It was a job so that I could pay bills

    Cons

    Asked to do illegal tasks on a regular basis; could only complete job within a 12 hour day by doing things illegally; management would throw under a bus if it could;

    Advice to Management

    Hire more employees so the Service Reps don't get burnt out. Pay for all hours worked. Reimburse Expenses.

    Pros

    No checks bounced. I added these words after "bounced" to meet the five word minimum.

    Cons

    100 percent profit motivated. Patient care and employee concerns are ALMOST non-existent. Good people at centers. Managers outside of the centers are ruthless and I mean ruthless.

    Advice to Management

    Myself and others have tried, to make you change in every way ,up to and including resignation. Nothing will help.

    Pros

    the pay and all the overtime you want

    Cons

    work never ends, management is horrible, a few hours of training and you are left to defend for yourself, micro-manage, rule are make up on a day to day bases, asking for help forget about it.

    Advice to Management

    not to have favoritism because you like them, learn the job that you hire people for, and take a management class to help with those who have never managed anything in their entire life.

    I have been working at Lincare Holdings

    Pros

    Weekly paycheck that you can out on. There are some good people that work at this company. Good life insurance policy.

    Cons

    Upper management is terrible and they expect way too much from one person. No one stays at this company, unless they are upper management. Center runs with bare minimum staff. Bonus pay is always not given for any excuse they can find. The numbers are manipulated, so you can't get bonus. Do not work for this company unless you are wanting a stepping stone to another company. There is no training for managers. You are thrown in there and expected to figure it out on your own.

    Advice to Management

    Care about what your enters have to say and the issues they are having. Spend some time in the centers and actually listen to the staff. Value your employees. Knowledge is valuable. Training a new person is expensive. Make this a positive place to work. Reward staff when they work hard.

    Pros

    Autonomy
    Not many on call patients

    Cons

    Pay is much less than competition
    Too much favoritism
    No sense of job security
    Some practices made me worry that my RT license was being compromised.

    Pay attention to the laws and an employees true value not just how you can bring in or save the most money.

    I did not experience very many pros

    No support from management, the training is a bunch of 1970's video tapes and systems are from the dark ages

    Pros

    There are really no pros. It has really put a bad taste overall

    Cons

    Low pay, no respect from upper mgmt, works all employees to death with no appreciation . Lack of customer service to patients. It's all just a number

    Advice to Management

    Take care of those at the bottom who help take the company where it is today. Have respect for employees and treat them

    If are desperate enough for a job and need experience

    Everything, all they are worried about is you making them bigger paychecks by getting a mandatory number if orders per day and if you dont make them they expect you to do overtime to catch up otherwise you get written up even if you have a planned appointment/day off. You get treated like a child and are expected to deal with the disrespect and unprofessionalism from someone who cant even take a supervisor call correctly let alone run the department. You ask a question and you are asked the question right back! I mean if you knew what to do you wouldn't ask right? People take supervisor calls because the real supervisors do not want to talk. People get yelled at and disrespected on the floor in front of others, and if u go to HR they don't do anything about it. Its like being in prison with a careless warden. You hear conversations you shouldn't be hearing in a professional place. They use your vacation time when u miss a day without your permission, they are careless to an emergency and write you up and tell you to plan when you your child are sick or if your gonna have an emergency. WHO SAYS THAT!!! All that goes on there is harassment, unprofessionalism, rudeness & disrespect and you learn to deal with it until you either find a new job or just don't go in the next day. They pick and choose who they like and who they want to pick on. Ive seen it first hand when i was there and that lady they call supervisor needs a reality check or better yet a termination. she cant handle people period always cursing and being a smart mouth to everyone even to a customer and all employees talk about it, other parts of management do her dirty work for her because she doesn't want to do it, i had two final warnings how did that work?. She can cause you an allergic reaction with the amount of whatever it is that she wears, people don't even have to say a name for you to realize who it is, its that bad. They should have an undercover CEO come in and i guarantee that they would realize everything everyone has said about the company is true and they should get rid of the bad to better their company before the management destroys it and it goes further down hill! They have good people there who work and want to enjoy it but the people who are in control are ruining it for the ones who could help make the company grow. And theres no such thing as a holiday off when you are forced to make it up during that week or you get written up! This place is a joke! Glad im gone!!

    Advice to Management

    Learn about your departments before trying to take control of something you know nothing about! stop being so rude and disrespectful and treating everyone like horse crap, you are not royalty and someone is bound to put you in your place. Its disgusting and unprofessional. If i were CEO of lincare you would be replaced immediately!
