I worked at Lincare Holdings full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

None. Your lied to from the moment you accept the position. By the second week your ready to go to lunch and never return.

    Cons

Employees are overworked, under paid, and treated like robots, The turnover is so high you rarely get to learn your co-workers name. No training, Long hours, No lunches. The CSR is expected to work while punched out for lunch or work for free. They want you to work Saturdays and Sundays and stay at work until 8 p.m. basically you will have no life. Center Mangers that will do anything and everything to push an Oxygen order. Even during tough economic times I QUIT. First time in my professional career that I quit a company without giving a two week notice. Honestly I’d rather work for Walmart.

    Pros

I really can't think of any pros about this company

    Cons

overwhelming amount of work with little to no training. poor supervisors who have no problem telling you either in person or through emails that they have a problem with you. antiquated computer system that wastes so much time and money with the amount of time needed to spend on 1 account. pay compensation very poor for the amount of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

actually get out to the centers and rbco's unannounced and see what really goes on. my supervisor actually left the office several times a day sometimes for more than 2 hours at a time. they take break after break all day while the people under them could not.

I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

only pros I have encountered are the relationships I have made with offices and patients

    Cons

terrible service, sales reps get blamed for everything, since I've been there communication has been terrible. Reimbursement takes forever so you end up having to use your own money for inservices and mileage, and salary is a joke!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

maybe try encouraging employees rather then talking down to them all the time and maybe have a better system for communication.

I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

not many, just the guys I work with

    Cons

almost everything. Poor pay, way too many hours, ridiculous demands. Being set up to fail. Lack of equipment. Extremely poor management. Asinine amounts of handwritten paperwork . Antique computer systems from the 80;s In my entire adult working life I have never worked for a place that is so poorly run, they are open by accident. Most important thing next to the almighty O2 set up is the compliance pencil neck police , whose answer to any problem is create another form.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get your head out of rear end get out and see what everyday work is like in your centers and do some ride along especially on those great 25 stop days, and setting up people in their filth ridden houses

I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Benefits & coworkers are decent.

    Cons

Instead of investing back into itself Lincare ridiculously pays Qp3 to train its sales ppl for two weeks. someone at QP3 must be good at getting on their knees and blowing someone at Lincare to sucker them into investing and building up Qp3 instead of themselves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of paying Qp3 out the nose to steal from your own marketing dept and train your sales ppl, let your marketing dept train your sales force and use the money wasted on Qp3 to invest back into Lincare employees.

I worked at Lincare Holdings full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

all the overtime you want. Lincare is so chronically understaffed that they need thier employees to work all the hours they are will to.

    Cons

OVERWORKED FOR LITTLE COMPENSATION! The pay is ridiculous. Sure overtime is avaliable but there is no work life balance so its just miserable

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

be more transparent. Lincare does not believe in training and developing thier employees, its all about getting by with the least amount of workers. Sad

I have been working at Lincare Holdings full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

*No shortage of job opportunities, because someone's always leaving!
*Possibility to stay with the same company if you move around the country.

    Cons

*Reputation for revolving door of employees at all center positions is well deserved. In my 2 years: 2 Center Managers, 3 CSRs, 3 HCSs, 2 Sales Reps, and 4 drivers. After 2 years of service, I have more seniority than 19of 21 people in my immediate area.
*Huge ever-growing, ever-changing expectations at all positions - especially for the CM and the Sales Reps. (The moving target/flavor of the month syndrome)
*Equations for determining number of center employees equates to a skeleton crew, at best. This is the perfect recipe for disaster.
*Continual focus on numbers disallows any focus on patient's needs OR employee satisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make positive decisions to invest some short-term profit back into the company. This includes hiring more staff! Set a long-term goal of making this company one of the most secure, profitable and respected companies in the industry. It would be better to make $100,000 for 25 years than to make $150,000 for 5 years and be out of business because you have no employees left.
It really is a shame that a company consistently making $250 MILLION profit PER QUARTER, has such poor resources and compensation.
