    Cons

Typical large corporation grind filled with corporate-speak circular thinking, no room for bottom up innovation.

    Advice to Management

    There's really no point.

    Pros

Great people to work with. The staff and support people were very good and made some lasting friends. Plenty of work to do.

    Cons

No clear direction from management. Many changes in plans, scope, and decisions. Lots of process and bureaucracy. Very top heavy and multiple decision makers.

    Advice to Management

Steamline processes and reporting. Re-vamp and modernize the employee time reporting. Reduce management overhead and consolitdate departments.

    Pros

Company has good benefits, and the work is stable and the work hours are reasonable. With so many software systems adopted from acquisitions, there's a lot of software development and technology work throughout the organization.

    Cons

As with many other large companies, the organization is very hierarchical and bureaucratic. There are many bad decisions that are made in a vacuum that end up wasting effort and money.

    Advice to Management

Remove layers in the organization to better connect upper management with what's going on 'on the ground'. Adopt better ways to measure performance against goals, to better gauge what is and is not working, and whether decisions have yielded desired results.

    Pros

Nice people and decent benefits. A conservative company that's not taking big financial risk

    Cons

Very isolated and segmented. Nobody understands what the other areas of the business do. No integration of systems. For a company that has teams in all different locations you'd think they'd get video conferencing at least. No money spent on the most basic of systems. HR dept is a joke. I left voluntarily but they didn't even do an exit interview which is weird for a large corporation. There's a lot of tension between the different locations as everyone is afraid of losing jobs through layoffs and relocation to the corporate office in Philly.

    Advice to Management

Management rarely listens to employees. Why would they start now.

    Pros

Good 401k match and work life balance. The company knows how to reward sales people. If you are not involved in sales avoid this company.

    Cons

The company lacks a clear path to develop internal talent. If your going to join this company don't plan to spend more than 2-3 years there.

    Advice to Management

Focus on developing the talent that you have internally rather than hiring outside the company for new opportunities.
