    Pros

Small, team oriented company compared to the other big studios; Offices being modernized and expanded, HR is working to improve all benefits including increasing base pay and bonuses

    Cons

Work-life balance can suck within certain departments; All areas of business could do with improved communication and organization

    Advice to Management

Work-life balance should be addressed for departments that support the business, not just those that create business.

    Pros

The Intern Lunch & Learns with executives from all departments were very insightful and eye-opening. Lionsgate really tries to involve interns in all aspects of the company and give interns an overall view of the company, not only the department you're working in. The HR team also reviewed and gave feedback on interns' resumes which is absolutely amazing.

    Cons

No major cons, however, maybe consider giving interns more work - they enjoy taking on more responsibilities!

    Advice to Management

    Can't think of anything!

    Pros

    - Filled with energetic, easy to work with people
    - Laidback culture
    - Great lunch and learns for interns to get to see big Lionsgate execs give talks
    - Great food trucks in the immediate area

    Cons

    - Could be better at facilitating friendships among workers from other departments
    - Restaurant in the office is too expensive

    Advice to Management

I don't have a whole lot of advice to give the management, honestly. As far as I could tell, getting in touch with management isn't difficult, as the company isn't very big, which is a great thing.

I loved the people I worked with. Upper management was really friendly and willing to teach you. I always felt comfortable going in to ask questions. Very fun atmosphere with weekly showings of upcoming movies.

    Pros

I was happy to be working with so many experienced people in the industry. I learned a lot during my tenure at the company.

    Cons

I wasn't at the company long enough, but it seems to be a challenge to move up the ranks quickly.

    Pros

The people there are very accessible. Willing to teach interns and the work was very challenging

    Cons

Wish there were more standard training. The executives are very busy, so the training part could have been better.

    Advice to Management

A great place to work for, I really like the environment there

    Pros

They almost always promote from within, so there's continuous opportunity for vertical movement. Working in the film business can be fun; you can go to free movie screenings. Also, you learn a lot. The relatively smaller staff gives you the change to take on new responsibilities, so it's a great place to learn.

    Cons

Since there is a smaller staff, the opportunity to learn a lot is tempered by the volume of work assigned to one person. More responsibility means more volume and higher expectations

    Advice to Management

Try to cater your management style to the personality or demeanor of your direct reports. Yelling is effective for some people, others not so much.
