Not as promising as lead to believe

Store Manager (Current Employee) Detroit, MI

ProsGood support staff, someone always has an answer for you.

ConsIt is hard to recruit long term employees because of low pay and available hours (less then 25) for crew members.

For a First Job, it's alright

Crew Member (Current Employee) Springfield, MA

ProsA lot of work to do, so time goes by pretty fast. Decent enough hours and what not.

ConsCan be hard to keep up with the pace. The work is a little above minimum wage in worth, in my opinion, but that's what they pay you nonetheless. Confused as to how there are so many older people here when the pay is so mediocre.

    Advice to Senior ManagementNone.

    "Et tu brute"

Team Member (Current Employee) Brooklyn, NY

ProsAble to take home extra pies when working closing shift. When outside you can listen to your music. Customer service experience

ConsNo time for lunch, would work a 10 hour shift and only have a 10 minute lunch in the back.
    low pay
    poor time management
    overworked
    repetitive

Advice to Senior ManagementTake time to learn employee names and not play favorites. Take the time to actually make sure you hire capable workers. That and well the kitchen would have it's days where if we had a random inspection, we'd get shut down but the boss wouldn't care as long as noone saw and the customers were happy.

    Cashier

Cashier (Current Employee) Surfside Beach, Horry, SC

Prosgreat team of people to work with

Consbeing a cashier, dealing with customers, keeping customers from waiting for their orders

Advice to Senior Managementdon't discriminate women by training them all as cashiers. Not all of them want to be cashiers. People will quit if they are unhappy with their job.

    Ultimatum

    Shiftleader (Current Employee) Fayetteville, NC

ProsGreat food experience , good job for High school graduate

ConsNot flexible enough when you have to attend classes. Manager makes facial expressions, gives contradicting orders, does not allow employees any breaks but takes several smoke breaks herself. Spreads fear with firing and giving ultimatums. Keeps pizza over expiration time to save money.

Advice to Senior ManagementA Manager should be true to his job title. You have to MANAGE people, set a good role model and help people to get their best out of them. Remember, without the bottom line you can do nothing.Instead of firing rather pair not so good workers with excellent workers, so they can learn. And most of it listen to your employees and try to help them but not by ditching them.

Not a good place to get rewarded.

Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Nashville, TN

ProsThe store itself is really fun to work in most of the time. My GM is very nice, and always tells me I do a great job.

ConsThe franchise owners themselves are not very professional. I have been reccomended for a raise several times over the last five months, and have been promised that raise by the area supervisor, turned down another job for it, and finally after all that time I recently found out that the owners are building a house so I will not be getting a raise. I also recently found out that because the franchise owners wife does not like me, I will not be getting the raise intended when they CAN afford to give me one. I know people who have been there for 2 years and have not recieved a raise in that time, and it's not because they are not a good worker, it is because the franchise owners don't like to give out rewards for long term good working employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep your promises, pay your employees at least the minimum of what every other LC employee in the country is making. I am not even making half of what the average is.

Awesome career potential sometimes dampend by political agendas

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Joliet, IL

ProsIts a family owned and orientated company. It is consistenly growing and offering key employees internal promotion. Benefits are good for the Store Mgr. And if you build a strong team, treat all employees with dignity and respect the store morale is high and it can be alot of fun. an extended family of sorts. Many Senior Staff have started their careers in a store a crew level.
And Corporate Stores are beginning to be brought into the computer age...

ConsPay is on the low scale for managment for what is required with the position. There is not one Corporate Store with a dedicated place for the Mgmnt to complete required paperwork (done by pen and paper - no computers) only a few stores have big back rooms with tables for training. Paperwork is completed @ most phones stations - doesn't say alot on how Company views and trusts its Mgrs.
And there is much room for improvement from Support Field Staff and Supervisors in the areas of training, employee relations and accountability. Especially when it comes to consistency of implementing and enforcing Company Policies and Procedures. Consistency lacks severely and is influenced @ times not by the precedents set prior, but by underlying agendas and who you are (or know) and who likes you or doesn't. Not good practice.

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior Managment needs to hold Support Staff and Supervisors accountable to ensure Consistency is followed and is a priority. Supervisors are the key to the stores and their teams and there is nothing in place besides Reviews and Store Success or lack there of that makes Supervisors accountable...there is no consistency: Example - Supervisor # 1 - It's ok to work 45 hrs providing the Store is successful and properly run, Supervisor #2 - you must work 10 hours everyday - no exceptions. Supervisor # 1 - you must punch in and out everday for breaks when working 7.5 hours or more. Supervisor #2 - just make sure you write yourself in for required breaks. (that rarely a mgr ever really takes) Supervisor #2 then writes-up non favorable Mgrs for writing his break in on time card, but not the Mgr. he favors...

Senior Staff should do surveys or similar project bi-anually to be given to the people who live and breathe the store everyday...the crew and mgmnt up to Co-Mgr. Im sure this would enlighten them to multitudes of areas that need improvement and occur on an everyday basis. And last - Store Crew and Mgrs up to Asst get No recognition at all in addition to minimum wages, and are the silent giants behind most of Little Caesars Success. . please acknowledge them in some well deserved ways...often
