    Consistently inconsistent.

    Finance (Current Employee)
    Hollywood, CA

ProsThe upper staff of the company wants to make Live Nation a better place to work for, but it doesn't mean everyone else will want that too.

ConsCan't vouch for other departments, but the ones I work with including mine, lack basic management skills, guilt you into working long hours and don't allow room for creativity. Self care and balancing work and personal life is IMPORTANT- some people think otherwise.

Advice to Senior ManagementDelve into each departments culture and core values...and work within to help make a positive impact on company culture. Departments are similar to states- they all have their own rules, but are still under one country.

    Rule by fear and yelling

    Project Manager (Former Employee)
    Hollywood, CA

    ProsCompensation was fair.
    The building was pretty.
The location was great, right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

ConsSenior management very immature. Made decisions with very little understanding of the technology of which they were in charge. Any attempt to educate them was met with hostility.

ProsConcerts, Pay, Benefits, Pet Friendly, Never Dull

ConsHours, Work Load, Shady Upper Management, Lifestyle, Dishonest

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees with a little respect. Don't use them for your own personal gain. The workload you ask your Managers to perform under is not contusive to a successful business relations. Yes you may pay well but the abusive culture is not worth the pay

Good experience if you don't stay too long

    Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee)
    Hollywood, CA

ProsLots of perks-- free concert tickets, really cool office with a nice break area, schedule was very flexible, laid back environment, casual dress and an opportunity to network with other music industry professionals

ConsLack of any structure, no training whatsoever, upper management was frankly incompetent. A lot of favoritism... it was very obvious who was liked by management and who wasn't. Extreme lack of communication. New positions constantly being created, combined or eliminated so nobody ever knew what their role was.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet competent leaders; have some meetings and figure out everyone's set duties and follow up to make sure they are following through.

A group of awesome individuals struggling to act as a successful company.

    Marketing Intern (Former Employee)
    Beverly Hills, CA

ProsVery laid back work environment, great people, free concerts

ConsExtremely poor upward mobility, poor compensation, can work extremely hard without it being noticed or rewarded in any way

Advice to Senior ManagementThe company is making all the right acquisitions and is doing extremely well financially, but that success is not being distributed throughout the company. The company needs to be re-structured internally to reflect its recent growth and financial success.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great place to work, if you want to be under-appreciated.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Detroit, MI

ProsThe perks working here: lots paid holiday time off (only for full-time employees), as well as free tickets to a lot of shows. Also the ability to learn more about the music and entertainment industry. Casual office attire. Most employees wore yoga pants and jeans.

    Cons- Extremely sexist
    - Big egos
    - No communication whatsoever
    - Relationship between the branches and headquarters lack collaboration
    - Not a positive environment
    - No promotions/raises/advancement
    - Old, outdated technology, which made work slow, tedious and inefficient.

Advice to Senior ManagementAppreciate your employees a little better. We're the reason why you make the big bucks.

    Awful Culture

Vice President of Technology (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

ProsIf you're a senior executive you enjoy excellent compensation and a great degree of autonomy.

ConsIf you're not a senior executive management will squeeze you for every dime they can. The culture is to separate executives from the day-to-day staff and create an us-vs-them culture.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees, they know a few things about the business.
