Prosflexibility, saving gas, working from the comfort of your own home, set your own schedule

Conscall volume is not always a plus, strictly script based, metric, can get slipped easily from veering off the script

    Insurance Sales

    Licensed Insurance Agent (Current Employee)

ProsMake your own schedule; very flexible
If you're good, you can make great money
Work from home -- no commuting or having to shop for clothes for your work attire

ConsCommunication can be poor. Seems to go in streaks. Management typically very supportive; however, you just don't get enough communication on the products that are coming out, the call volume, etc. and it leaves you guessing. This isn't good because if your question is about call volume or the apparent major change in management in the past couple years, while you are 'guessing' what's going on, your paycheck will take a huge hit because the call volume will have dropped so significantly, and you won't know if there will be any other great products to sell to increase your income. By this time, you probably have a foot out the door. They have lost some great people because of this.

Advice to Senior ManagementSee info on "cons". In a nutshell, more communication. Think as if you were a licensed agent and not in a management role, and think "what is it that I would want?" That will help a lot. The other Key thing is call volume and types of calls. The job flexibility is great, but if you're a licensed insurance agent, it's about the money. You can't make money if call volume wanes so much you know you are going to starve in the summer, or at other times of the year that may be 'typically slow'. In the past 2 years, this 'trend' of call volume has become increasingly worse. As a licensed agent, most of us want challenge, and we want to make more than last week and last year. We are sales people and are driven. Money talks.

    LiveOps controls you

    Independent Agent (Current Employee)

ProsI enjoyed working from home for a time. Flexible hours, Can work committed or uncommitted.

ConsLiveOps controls your call volume and call lines. Performance ratings aren't fair. Started out doing well until they cut off my volume without warning, then removed my General lines where I would be sure to NOT receive any calls. Scripts are pushy, callers are on a fixed income (most of them) and do NOT want or can't afford the upsells we are expected to push on them. More cons than pros to this company! Some upsells are SCAMS!

Advice to Senior ManagementYou need to take a look at your conversion ratings system. It only hurts your agents who work hard for you, only to get cut off just as things are going well. You should also check out the customers who are scamming the callers. Honesty is the best policy and it is not practiced with LiveOps.

DEAD END TRAP! You will hate yourself before you leave. $50 per day working more than 8 hours and HIGH STRESS Sales.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsOnly Flexibility, everything elses is not worth it. You will make less than minimun wage or work soo many hours to make it that 'flexibility" mean nothing. You still wont have time for what you want.

ConsYou will be a fake "Business Owner". Expect to sit hours for free. The real products you sell are the upsells. Your job's success is dependent on selling misleading products that trap seniors into reoccuring monthly fees that are impossible to cancel. Managers have no respect for you. You will wake up to find no work. No explanation, no renegotiating. They don't answer emails, especially if you are questioning there unfair business practices. There expectations are too high for the little money you make. This place is for people who are okay being low earners. Flexibility is their excuse for staying.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop taking advantage of you "Business Owners". You give WAH jobs a bad reputation.

    Very Sad

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSchedule very flexible, in the terms that you can work when you want and not someone else schedule. Nice to be able to work from your home.

ConsAgent seem to be very unhappy due the unfair metric system that is in place. And being able to get hours seems to be very impossible. As one agent put it, it is like whacking a mole so to speak.

Advice to Senior ManagementRe-group and make your people happy, so they can make your clients happy.
