I worked at LiveOps as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Its great to have the flexibility of making your own hours, there are decent income opportunities if you put in enough time, it can be worth it. New Management is making a lot of positive changes

    Cons

Can't really control the calls that come your way. So you make money when the phone rings, but you don't if there aren't enough calls coming in. They need to change the metric pay system so that it is more fair.

I have been working at LiveOps part-time

    Pros

Been with them for over 5 yrs, just as a part time. If you commit you can make this a regular money making

    Cons

NO CONS, THE ONLY THING IS THAT PAY YOU GET PAID BY TALK TIME

I have been working at LiveOps as a contractor (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The company offers unlimited income with opportunity to make money on several line groups. 24/7 flexibility, and no taxes taken out of your checks!

    Cons

The only downside is the company strictly operates based on conversion and performance. You have to be a sale maker and not just a call taker. Otherwise you will suffer by getting very low call volume and make very little money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Even though we are the peons in the company, we are still hard workers and we are human. Offer increased per minute rates and special bonuses. It helps us and makes us feel appreciated. We have families to take care of. Give us a shift premium for slow lines for dedicated agents. We dont want to sit on the phones all day and make very little money.

I worked at LiveOps as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Love the flexibility and the ability to work from home and was always paid on time.

    Cons

Sometimes hard to get hours, or calls. Won't hire you if you have a judgement on your credit report which has nothing to do with whether you can do the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please change your policy on having a judgement on credit report. Because I don't have medical insurance, so had an judgement. I had left because I needed to update my computer before I could continue after 3 years with you, but I was turned down because of a judgement. I understand the criminal back ground check, but to deny me employment because of it, makes no sense to me.

    Pros

Good company. Great culture and only getting better. Work from home!, Okay benefits. Open door policy, your opinions, suggestions, and feedback are valued. Under New CEO, very excited to see where we are headed. Continuing opportunities for growth in knowledge, skills and responsibility. I love LiveOps!

    Cons

Working from home has its obvious benefits. The only thing I would suggest would be more face to face time with my team when we can.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep focusing on a positive employee culture. Love where the new CEO is going with the company. Keep up the good work!

    Cons

fast paced and lots of change so could be tough for people that don't appreciate change. long hours, however the rewards are worth it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

The business model here is outstanding, and can become the standard in the customer service market. Talented employees committed to the company's success in both aspects of the business (technology platform and agent outsourcing). New CEO brings a refreshing leadership style.

    Cons

Company direction has been somewhat unclear in the past. Greater clarity and resource commitment to the path forward is required.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the practice of increased communication from the CEO office.

I have been working at LiveOps full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good people to work with, good teamwork. New CEO is around a lot and actually talks to the people who do the work (first 6 months of year, I never saw the previous CEO, this one has talked to me more than a couple times). Being in the HQ office, there's lots of little perks (snacks, soda, breakfast twice a week, pizza on Fridays...) Work is challenging and diverse and the immediate future only looks to be more so. Compensation is good, benefits are decent for a company this size.

    Cons

There's a lot of priority switching and redirection. Makes it difficult to manage time (especially when most of workforce is remote some days). There's a lot of talk about learning other things and training for new technologies, but it tends to be for a select few (mainly due to constant high priority deadlines). Enforced PTO at end of year (some of staff is forced to take PTO between Christmas and New Year. Shocked me the first year, it basically cuts 5 days off your PTO)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it up with the communication, especially the 1-1 (even if it's just "hello"), people are talking. Keep social events, but try to find ways to break up the groups so people actually interact with people from other parts of the office.

    Pros

    Excellent product
    Great people to work with
    Fun environment
    Great benefits
    Excellent compensation
    Many opportunities to learn

    Cons

Still battling some technological challenges that can sometimes impact our day-to-day
Some communication gaps (new client on-boarding and changes)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to do things right the first time
Be open to new ideas from all departments and locations

I have been working at LiveOps full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

My job is challenging, every day is different, I am constantly learning new things.
I am surrounded by very smart and interesting coworkers whom I love working with.
I love working remotely from home. I am more productive without the commute and water cooler talks, which allows more time to get my job done and then be with my family.

    Cons

We need more headcount, there is a never-ending amount of work to be done.
Employees outside of Bay Area get paid less and fewer perks, frustrating for remote employees who do the same amount or more work.
Promotions are very few and far between, hard work is rarely recognized.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My direct manager is great. The direction from Csuite level management has been unstable since I have been with the company, but with our new CEO I am very optimistic that we are back on track!
