    Pros

Managers see value in their people. They value the opinions of the team, and encourage people to be vocal. There is a new HR team that is making a lot of great changes to the recruiting process, internal mobility & learning and development programs, recognition programs, and employee branding. It is an exciting time to be working at LivePerson!

    Cons

At times it can be difficult to get one on one time with your manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more time to have 1:1 meetings with your direct reports. It makes them feel valued and allows them to ask questions that may make their output more valuable.

    Pros

Constantly evolving and adaptive company. Surrounded by lot's of smart people. Internal community top of the line. Good quarterly communication by upper management. Great health benefits and stock options.

    Cons

Salary isn't the greatest compared to similar roles in the area. Lot's of career opportunities but difficult to move up the ladder. Have seen a lot of personnel changes and high turnover rate. Can be political in both recruitment and business decisions.

    Pros

A true sense of ownership in what you do, and the people you collaborate with. Freedom to make decisions. Ability to partake in meaningful strategic discussions. Everyone works toward the goal of seeing the company succeed.

    Cons

As with any smaller company, vertical growth is a challenge. There is never any shortage of opportunity to expand your horizons but moving up the corporate ladder in a company this size is difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

The people are all great and really encouraging. The work from home policy is a nice to have but unless you are a work from home employee, it's not really encouraged.

    Cons

    1. Disorganization- It can be good and bad- it allows you to take the initiative for changes you want to see, but as is true with most big companies, everybody is always waiting for the approval from upper management which can stagnate things before any changes are ever actually made.

    2. Turnover- There is A LOT of turnover because the job description is constantly changing. I don't know about sales but it seems they are consistent. One day you have one boss, the next day that person leaves and somebody else wants to change the department and it becomes a domino effect. Change is good but too much change will stop you from ever mastering anything.

    3. Compensation - The pay for some of the employees is decent but for others, it's really at the lower market value at best. Especially for all the work that needs to be put in, at least the bonuses should be higher. Unless you are coming in with a higher salary requirement, if you move up in the company, they aren't going to increase your salary significantly, even if you're moving into a Project Manager role.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more organized and have more set procedures (especially in HR). It's nice to be a "fun" company and to encourage ideas but there has to be a method to the madness.

    Pros

People. Culture (unique). Office spaces around the world. There is a very cool feel about the place beyond offering free stuff. Very dedicated staff.

    Cons

The difficulty of getting new product to market more efficiently. Key leaders are not always aligned. New leaders lack understanding and feel about the importance of how to inspire people. They seem insincere.

    Pros

The company gives you the room to express yourself and pursue ideas. The culture is fun and loving. The products are good.

    Cons

Constant strategic shift - lots of employee attrition due to frustration over lack of focus.
Will either get acquired by SAP or similar Goliath or never really take off. (hope I'm wrong as I still work there)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

"just focus" and stop changing strategy every six months. Turn the CEO into an executive chairman and hire professionals with actual experience or knowledge.

    Pros

HR does a great job of hiring a very divers group of people that are all helpful and willing to work together for the greater goal!..Great platform that is industry leading!

    Cons

In a very interesting phase as a company now making strides to really jump to the next level so we have brought in a lot of new people from larger companies that are still learning the "ropes"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put forth a greater effort to promote from within as well as bridge new talent with "veterans"

I have been working at LivePerson full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

LivePerson empowers its employees to be owners, work with great people and customers, and to grow professionally. LivePerson is not satisfied being an average or even an above average performing company, LP strives to be outstanding.

    Cons

The goals at LP are to become an outstanding company. This means high expectations and rapid growth, inevitably there are going to be many changes. These changes can be disruptive in the short term and if you are not prepared for a long term tenure at LivePerson with change, then you may find it difficult to adapt.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While it is healthy to get fresh perspectives with new external hires, especially at the executive and management level, there is plenty of talent within LP's ranks that should be utilized. Different isnt always better.

I have been working at LivePerson full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

LIvePerson has a great culture grounded in the core values of helping others and being an owner. In particular I like the fact that LP tasks everyone with being a leader within the company. Also, LP invests in supporting a remote work force, enabling them to have such a great culture across many locations.

    Cons

LivePerson could benefit from a little more organization of it's infrastructure than what's it's currently using.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep pushing forward to the next step for the company. And continue making all employees a major part of that step.
