I have been working at LivingSocial full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great atmosphere. No micromanagement! Tons of perks with great benefits. Very flexible with time off request. Merchants most of the time are happy when you reach out to them.

    Cons

Not to many downfalls here. Only frustration is changing how your commissions get paid out often. Does not mean you will make less just seem to have to adjust often.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up to the good work!

I have been working at LivingSocial full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    There are SO many!
    - they only hire a certain culture of people, this makes most of the people you work with truly amazing
-the pay is fantastic, with annual bonuses and raises.
    - free food and drink
-brightly colored walls, open floor plan, own desk, and dual monitors
    - can eat at your desk, spend your lunch/breaks browsing the internet.
    - spend time doing emails and listening to music
    - work hard play hard

LivingSocial is scrutinized for their change, or for the daily deal platform. All I can say to that is: quit if you don't like it. It's a wonderful place to work, and only people who also love it deserve to be there. I have never ever in my life worked somewhere so fun. Somewhere so relaxed and that cares about their employees. I am treated like family and I work hard for them like I would work for family. I take pride in saying "I work at LivingSocial"

    Cons

There is a lot of change. I personally don't think it's a problem, but it is the biggest complaint.

I have been working at LivingSocial full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are the best part of this company.

    Cons

We are going through a lot of transition, so being able to roll with the punches is key. With transition though, comes opportunity.

    Pros

Livingsocial provides so much training and tools for its employees to not only excel at their jobs, but to advance in their careers with the company. This is the best company I've ever worked for. Management is hands-on but does not micro manage. They hire great people, provide great training and because of that, their employees do a great job!

    Cons

I really can't think of any.

    Cons

I worked at LivingSocial as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

    - High level of respect across the different groups
    - Amazing Culture
    - Smart, motivated team

Although I was on a short term contract, I cannot say enough wonderful things about LivingSocial. One thing I was impressed with,w as the high level of respect in different areas of the company. Everyone's opinions are valued and considered. It was refreshing! The culture was laid back and fun. it did not feel like work, and every day I looked forward to being there. They also are super flexible and allow remote work and work from home. I was equally impressed with the people. Although young, for the most part, very motivated and sharp.

    Cons

Glassdoor will not allow me to submit without one...so...If I had to pick, I would say that at my level in my career there were not a lot of people in my division I could learn from. it is a very young team.

I have been working at LivingSocial

    Pros

Solid culture. Passionate people. New CEO with great vision. A truly fun place to work. The company really values its employees and is trying to do right by our customers.

    Cons

Disconnect between corporate and satellite offices but our new CEO seems to really understand our challenges and is working on implementing solutions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Right size the organization. Trust your leaders. Invest in both people and technology. Understand the value of a world class customer support team.

I worked at LivingSocial full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Rewarding if you like win/win sales scenarios. The employees are all helpful and encouraging for the most part.

    Cons

No work/life balance...all work all the time! Company lost direction and just followed Groupon (monkey see, monkey do) which made life difficult on the reps trying to sell originality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find your own path..stop following Groupon. The 24-48 Flash sale may just be your niche! Listen to your tenured reps (the ones you havent already made to leave)
