Current Employee – been working at Lockheed Martin full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Some parts of Lockheed treat their employees very well, very good Ethics department, overall benefits very good
Cons – Lockheed is a very fractured company and i am sure people reading about Lockheed are confused when they read reviews at web sites like this one.
Lockheed divisions have different work weeks, pay bands in other works the Salary grades are standardized but the actual high and lows for the same cities can vary 15%.
Work week varies, holiday schedule, amount of money you contribute to the health plan as well as the actual plan.
Pay for performance merely means you will probably get more than the guy that performs less
however they do force managers to put all their employees into groups poor good better best so someone has to be in the poor group pretty much no matter what.
Managers are overworked some have 30+ employees to manage in addition to an actual job, plus now managers have to manage employees user accounts and new hires.
The current process for reviews LMCommit is roundly hated by everyone but especially managers for them to do their job right for every employee would take weeks of unpaid work.
Advice to Senior Management – Standardize the holiday schedule and pay bands if you are cutting holidays to make the compnay more competitive then make us the most competitive.
Middle managers seem to do nothing that brings value to the company , take some workload off managers let HR manage the setting up of new hire accounts. Let secretaries/admins book travel the travel site is not user friendly and a lot of time is lost on people making $40.00+/hr trying to figure out what flight to take or where to stay.
Work should be done by the lowest paid employee capable of doing it.
Job postings should be marked as internal or company wide, if a posting is there because someone is going to be promoted then mark it departmental internal and call it good.
Get rid of Eureka it just sucks, and if you are going to keep it and I comment on your page a reply would be nice!

Current Employee – been working at Lockheed Martin full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Work is challenging and often exciting depending on which contract you work on. Offer tuition reimbursement so you can get your master's degree for free or close to it. Great 401K match.
Cons – Pay is somewhat low. Can be hard to advance and even if you do senior level work, they will not promote you unless you meet the minimum requirements.
Advice to Senior Management – If employees perform at a level above their grade every day and they are shy of the minimum requirements, please consider early promotions. This can make hard workers feel undervalued.

Current Employee – been working at Lockheed Martin
Pros – Competitive pay, consistent annual raises, interesting work, opportunities to move around within the company, employee retention, tuition reimbursement program, onsite 24x7 gym and health club reimbursement
Cons – Bureaucratic, continues to trim benefits year after year (though that appears to be the industry trend), lack of recognition for hard work, merit system that comes up short on rewarding high achievers over average or sub-par employees, lack of opportunities for career growth and/or promotions for employees with 5+ years experience, limited technical career path that induces technical employees who are not management material to pursue management positions in order to be promoted

Current Employee – been working at Lockheed Martin
Pros – Unlimited opportunitys to gain different experience
Cons – Execs are losing sight of what make the company work
Advice to Senior Management – Empower the business areas to manage their own affairs - the corporate departments have no clue of what is required to run the day to day business..but they still dictate!

Great team of people where knowledge is freely exchanged and help is available for difficult problems in critical situations.

FOX news is on both monitors in the dining room. 24/7
If you are a progressive thinking person, keep it to yourself.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work but start thinking about cyber defense products that have less collateral damage.
