    Pros

Commitment to Ethics and integrity is built into everything we do at Lockheed Martin. The company has excellent benefits and employee perks as well.

    Cons

Large company, it's easy to get lost in the company and not know the people who share your floor.

I worked at Lockheed Martin (More than a year)

    Pros

Loved it! Employees and management was great. Always ready to allow you to grow. Paid weekly, just overall great place to be. And I still would be if contract hadn't changed.

    Cons

Lost contract in recompete with General Dynamics

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Multiple programs in the DC area. Generally you are able to jump between programs within the same division of the company. Interesting and challenging work. Mentors are available.

    Cons

Program is very customer focused, which is a good thing, until you realize your boss at LM doesn't know what you do. This program is more of a mgmt consulting type role. Interesting work but unless you have a highly visible position you could fall btwn the cracks.

    Advice to Management

Challenge your employees to do excel and give them the platform to do so.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

IS&GS is the IT services division of Lockheed Martin. It is a conglomeration of many programs. There are locations throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area and also employees work at many different customer locations. The salary is very good and working conditions are good (can vary by location. Some customer sites may not be so good),

    Cons

IS&GS is for sale so it will not be part part of Lockheed Martin for long. So everything from salary grids, benefits, and even the culture may change. Medical benefits are mediocre.

    Advice to Management

Resolve the sale quickly. The unknowns are many. Protect the pension plan.

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was relatively easy to land a job here after college. The work is interesting and the company really works to give you the opportunity to advance. They also promote the matrix business model and they encourage moving between programs, even though the functional managers don't feel the same way.

    Cons

The pay could be higher, but considering that I was able to get this job rather easily, I can't complain.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people so the workload can be spread out. I have yet to take vacation since we have so much we're working on.
