I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Well this was a job that was close to where I lived, so that was nice other than that nothing great to say about Doomis Certain.

    Cons

Pay doesn't account for risks/dangers, training doesn't account for risks/dangers, managers not competent enough to deal with the risks/dangers, company procedures and daily operations don't account for the risks/dangers associated with it, scheduling is inconsistent-you will never truly know when you will finish for the day, if you can finish your route on time you are punished by being given extra stops, no bonus given for doing your duties safely, and the list can go on and on and on ladies and gentlemen...

Long story short run from Doomis Certain.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Dear Doomis Certain Managers,

Your a bunch of bozo's and to be honest you know what needs to change, so why should I waste my time trying to advise you. I'm better off trashing your brand name and telling prospective applicants who are (good candidates) to steer very far from you disgusting business.

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Indentured servant styled pay
Work with some scheduling constants ---dependent on who the manager is at the time you work there.
Co-workers can be the best part of the job

    Cons

Low low pay when compared to other similar logistic companies. Like say fedex or ups

Best way to describe the con's.. read up on what the Feudal System was all about and realize that is how Loomis operates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop acting like royalty... start strapping on some weapons and running routes with us, and try surviving on our sickening base pay for a year. Than try telling us how our pay is good enough for the risks and physical work we do.

Maybe then you'd earn a little more respect with the majority of your staff. You wannabe bankers dressed as royalty are truly out of touch.

Loomis is wasteful with all of its resources... especially its labor.

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Not as combat intensive as working in Iraq and Afgan, but you can still meet such a demise working for Loomis.
There really are no positives here.

    Cons

You are glorified mail man with a gun. Unlike the mailman, garbageman, or fedex/ups you don't get a livable wage, steady hours, or decent benefits.
Enough said take the other job this one isn't a good one.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Um simple start treating us like ups or fedex treats their employees or you might see a similar labor movement. Just like they had ten or so years back.

This means raise pay and benefits; additionally, start creating more incentives to work for this industry which might slow down the revolving door and thus help to ease the scheduling nightmares most locations face.

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co.

    Pros

There are no pro's that you could not find at Burger King or the like.

    Cons

Burger King pays their supervisors more than us, and I know Burger King staff members don't get shot at as often as we do.
Our hours are crazy and the work is very physical in nature. We are unappreciated and not valued. Training is atrocious just like company communication is.
Enjoy being responsible for high liability packages and forced to pay back anything you lose or gets stolen, when you can't prove who did it. Even if it was your partner.
There is no insensitive to do a good job, so most of us care little about anything related with Loomis Fargo and what they want from us. This also leads to a lot of retired cops, or mall cops, who will pimp time and ruin your schedule if you are partnered with them, because there is no incentive to be back to base on time.

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

I can't think of a single one. Oh wait there's one they pay for your DPSST certification.

    Cons

Low wages, no respect, long hours, no praise at all. They never remember the 1000 times you said yes they only remember the one time you say no. Horrible training lacking in so many areas. No support from management at all. They come in after you and leave before you, then complain about how much they work. The common saying is "Not my problem" if you ask someone for something. They have been investigated by BOLI numerous times for unlawful hiring and firing practices. Not to mention the President and Vice President of HR flew in from corporate a few years ago because they were getting so many complaints about the Portland branch. They conducted an anonymous non management survey, and the results were not at all surprising. It was bad! They screw over valuable employees to keep them where they need them instead of letting them get what few promotions they do have to offer. You never hear anything from them about the job you're doing unless you are doing it wrong or going way way outside of your job duties to cover their butt on something. They pit the departments against each other, so no one wants to work together they just blame each other for everything. IThey are losing long term employees everyday and they don't care, they can hire people who weren't grandfathered into the good pay scale and pay them half as much to risk their lives everyday. People are dying for $11 an hour, that's just not enough money to risk your life everyday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house management wise! Treat your employees like people not numbers. Pay more! If you raise your starting wage maybe just maybe you'll be able to hire and keep quality employees. Give praise for a job well done, not just shame when someone screws up. Give RAISES! Create advancement opportunities, for people that do a good job not just for the people that kiss your butt and stroke your ego. Just treat people better and you will save money on hiring because you won't have to do it as often.

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. part-time for less than a year

    Pros

You will never get ahead in this company. Only management make out here by taking from the employees.

    Cons

To go home at the end of the day?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get off your butts and do something other than to come in at 0:600 and leave at 14:00. All you do is pass the buck and lie.

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. part-time

    Pros

Get to carry a gun but it isn't worth it, and you will likely never get to pull it out of its holster before you get riddled with bullets.

    Cons

Enlightenment time, employee moral is in the pits and there is a very real reason for that.

This company has a two star rating here and another 1.8 star rating under a similar name. I can inform you that this company puts in a lot of effort in earning those two crummy ratings.

Run from this company and do not look back. Nothing good shaking here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Money over people is your philosophy which is proven true by your actions and our treatment.

I actually wonder if you praise God too, because it seams you only praise money money money greed.
