    Pros

A job unworthy of your physical efforts, time, and certainly your life or pain.
Good guys and gals to work with at the bottom half.

    Cons

Pay is bad doesn't equate to being under the microscope of liability for others millions or being shot, injuries, or killed for those millions.

Policies and rules are a laughing matter because nothing is done by the books.

Equipment is on its last leg.. Trucks have no A/C... Trucks with holes you can put your hands threw.

    NO overtime

    20 Cent raises

    NO TRAINING

    Sickening work environment included

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wise up and stop mistreating your associates. You have to start spending some time in meetings and business trips considering what its like to be in our position. Right now your just being indifferent and that is the root to all evil.

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The employees are good people and if you want 10+ hours of OT a week you'll get it...

    Cons

Busting your butt for pennies. Run a gain for the quarter and get profit sharing of .20 on the hour. Management gives no praise or real incentive to do a good job except the meager wages and the "profit sharing". The trucks that hold millions of dollars don't get maintained even if you tell management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and have a people first attitude. Stop running your employees down with 12-16+ hour days and when you are going to offer profit sharing make it worth while instead of insulting. Maybe sending your branch managers to Dubai isn't the best investment....

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

On the job training done well by experienced people who can show you what to do and how to do it correctly. HR generally had its stuff together.

    Cons

Low pay for high stress, high workload, high danger job. low/no wage increase from year to year. Equipment failures can lead to looooong (14hr+) days. Advancement beyond 'peon' level not possible; management always brought in from outside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to keep people, pay them more, and don't issue equipment that you KNOW is bad.

I worked at Loomis Fargo & Co. full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Solid benefits package, good entry-level job, pretty stable job in that you didn't get fired unless you stole money or failed drug testing

    Cons

Very few if any room for advancement, low income for the type of work, bad attitudes all over the workplace, black out days so you could never go anywhere for Christmas

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Dear Upper Management,

If a good number of your employees are leaving or are threatening to leave because they are constantly treated badly by another employee or superior, do something about it! Don't risk letting all your other good employees go, at the expense of this one that makes their job a living nightmare!

Please pay us more! My hourly pay only went up a dollar in 4 years!

Remember that we have families and lives outside of work. Please don't make us work overtime so much. If there is too much work, hire more people. Furthermore, it's really stinky that tellers have black-out days between December 15th - January 15th, since we can never travel anywhere for Christmas.

    Cons

company doesn't care about the employees and you will see it in day one guarantee, be prepared, one example of many... poor poor training and you will have to do the job by your own!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

shame that other companies with less risk and minimum pay ARE better than this company

I have been working at Loomis Fargo & Co.

    Pros

You do get to work with some people that share a lot of the same interests, which makes the job a little less miserable.

    Cons

Oh my oh my where do I begin...

First and foremost, management. Management is probably the largest problem at this branch. I don't know what it's like at other branches but the management here is incomprehendably horrible! Every level of management, from the ATM manager, the route/scheduling manager, loss prevention manager, so on and so forth, all the way up to the GM, nobody has a clue whats going on. Anytime you ask for time off, be prepared to give a REALLY good explanation as to why you need time off. Even then he tries to make you feel bad for asking anything. And when they tell you "family comes first", they're just blowing smoke up your (you know what). They couldn't care less about the employee's family or feelings for that matter. Keep in mind all managers here have egos bigger than the world itself. The GM himself thinks all employees are lower than dirt and makes it well known. This company is VERY top heavy. Way too many managers and all of them don't know what's going on.
Another big problem are their stupid PDAs. Half the managers don't know how to use them or fix them. And they're constantly breaking or not working. Our job revolves around these things and the fact that they buy unreliable equipment and don't maintain them makes the job miserable and frustrating. The trucks are constantly in need of work. The mechanics definition of a repair involves bailing wire and tape. Not exactly safe...
Pay is not great either. For a job where (lets be honest here) the threat of being robbed or killed or both is constantly increasing, getting paid anywhere from 10.50 - 13.00 and hour, on top of the working conditions, do not really make this a very desirable job. Let me be clear, the job WAS actually fun and enjoyable BEFORE Loomis bought out the company I worked for before. Now they have turned the whole job into and aggravating chore.

This place is demoralizing and a complete joke (actually no one here finds it funny). They are constantly making new policies that have no real use in the real world, and sometimes put their own employees at more risk. They actually hinder our abilities to effectively do our jobs. If you love horrible work environments and bad management then this is the place for you!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please just spend one week doing what we do on a daily basis. Maybe then you'll understand what we deal with and all the (to be completely honest) completely unnecessary policies and regulations out forth by people that have never actually done the job themselves.
