    Pros

Weekly paycheck, cheap health coverage. Interesting work day.

    Cons

They will lie to you about the promotion "schedule" and the hours you will be working, telling you the reviews you read online are from disgruntled former employees - but there's a reason so many reviews say the same thing over and over again. DMs like to play favorites and blame everything on "someone else". Unfortunate when you're the someone else! But, at least I won the unemployment dispute and proved the policies they claimed to fire me over didn't actually exist.

    Advice to Management

There's a reason you have high turnover in your Marketing Mgr positions - look to your current GMs and DMs for the answer to that problem.

    Pros

Stable growing company with growth on the horizon.

    Cons

unprofessional, unethical and thrive on intimidation and lack genuine concern for employees

    Advice to Management

Empower and respect your employees to develop original ideas. Reward your employees both monetarily and with positive reinforcement. As a person reading this you may find it hard to believe what I am about to tell you. I find it hard to believe and I lived it. I have never met a company, the 9th largest in the nation, that does everything wrong. It is truly sad. They make so much money that it blinds them to input from anyone who has a suggestion for improvement . You either go along cowering and kissing up or you are terminated. Anyone that I would consider a type " A" manager doesn't last. If you can is butt and take abuse while stroking the egos of superiors you will be fine. They do pay below industry average and you can live life as a minion then it is the place for you. If you are a self starter with original thoughts and ideas this is not the place for you. Good Luck

    Pros

You get paid weekly, which is great. You get to see and meet a lot of great and different customers!

    Cons

Poorly trained! Poor management. If they failed to train you in an area they will try to pin it in you and get you in trouble for it. Management rather be buddy buddy than telling employees what they need to do.

    Advice to Management

    Train employees better.

    Pros

3 days off when they would follow schedule.

    Cons

Never three days off. They would work you atleast one day on your day off. you would have to do hourly jobs when hired as a manager. After all said and done you would work 60 to 70 hours and cleaned showers toilets, changed tires and fried fries for less than your employees.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to open their eyes and see that the district managers are working their employees over the 44 hours and hiding the schedules when they come around.

    Pros

Health Benefits are very good, Very busy days never a dull moment in most locations with there always being something to do. Profit sharing if you make past 7 years.

    Cons

No work life balance. Expect to work 55-75hrs a week. Profit sharing program will bring people in the door but will not keep people there, Being in the service industry the manager position is confused with the 3 plus profit centers you have to manage with no depth of employee per shift hard to meet all demands and help customers. Overall lacking in technology, will get updates to a program or system only to see 10 new problems occur with the system, no forward thinking from IT, still on ancient audit system, No janitor/shower person most days meaning manager is cleaning bathrooms showers pumps picking up trash since that tech is working on tires

    Advice to Management

Look at the profit share program or the pay of managers- younger college grads will never stick around with the hours and low pay considering responsibility and hours that is expected. Most of them have large debt and can make more money today at other retailers working less. Spend some money on the older stores or don't keep them open. Hire a janitor/shower person for each shift so your cashiers can actually cashier, complete company programs and clean the store.

    Pros

Great people you meet with customers and associates. Besides the negative ones you deal with

    Cons

Dont expect to get your worth. They complain about over time. Expect you to do everything in your schedule shift and then do other jobs that upper management is suppose to do. They don't care about u. And to them you are disposable. You get faulted for customer complaints especially when they email your boss even if the customer curse you out and throws racial slurs at you. They don't defend you but a customer who is wrong they do. I dont understand how a multibillion company can't pay employees their worth. But they can flaunt their money and while the rest of us is struggling. I wish I could do a undercover boss from that tv show and show tom love and his advisors Just how bad his employees are being treated badly. While manager are living it up!!!

    Advice to Management

Help the lower staff out with finances and raise the pay. And please treat us with respect and not like trash or like puppets. We are humans too and like this company but when you got bosses above you under paying you and not treating you respect as we deserve as we give them. It's hard to work at a job like that. Its stressful enough with all the job task they put on you and threaten to fire you if you dont get it done in their time limit. Along with daily verbal abusive truck drivers and customers that we deal with daily. Then when the top dogs come in for a visit they take the credit for all the work you did!!!

    Pros

Good pay, generous benefits package, generous yearly bonus (depending on your department and/or management), free fruit for all employees, free soda, coffee, and tea in break rooms, volunteer and community involvement, huge yearly holiday party for corporate employees, sports and event ticket giveaways, wellness incentives and activities, corporate on-site gym and cafe, great coworkers.

    Cons

Don't be dazzled by the fancy corporate offices, shiny facade, and cute heart logo, this place has serious problems that run deep. After all, it was formed and is still run by an owner who started the company by buying a little gas station in Watonga, OK in the 60's, but forgetting to buy a permit to buy gas. This is unfortunately the same manner in which this multi billion dollar company is run today. The place is overrun by worthless middle management, project managers, and business analysts who are nothing but a bunch of snakes. Watch out for the PM's and BA's- they will use you for their needs, be your best friend, and then throw you right under the bus. There is no room for advancement for the average Joe or Jane, no matter how hard you work your. You can advance if you are part of the "club" or a cute girl in a tight skirt. Communication with management is non-existent. Emails go completely ignored. Countless meetings are held at all times, yet nothing is ever achieved. By the time a new system is implemented and barely running, it is outmoded and another is being purchased to replace it. It is extremely hard to communicate with other departments. Absolutely no praise for individual achievement is given. Do not expect any praise or encouragement of any sort. You will work your tail off and may make decent money, but you will pay for it with the effects of stress on your health. The HR department is a joke. Don't ever expect to get anywhere with a complaint. Racism and sexism run rampant. Personally witnessed two black coworkers being racially discriminated against numerous times. Sexual harassment is commonplace. Salaried employees see themselves as far superior to hourly employees. I witnessed HR talk down on hourly employees stating that they aren't the "difference makers" in the company.

    Advice to Management

Can all middle management, BA's, PM's, and start fresh. Do something about the discrimination. Remember to "buy the permit", i.e. cut all the crap and fat and run it like the multi-billion dollar business that it is.

None, The only good thing about Loves is they have snacks out for you to eat free of charge all day long.

    Cons

Upper Management cares nothing about you and HR is scared to help! SAD,SAD place to have to work! They really discriminate against blacks. They need prayer.....

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Fast paced environment. Excellent benefits. I work with a lot of wonderful people, both my coworkers and the customers.

    Cons

If you are female, forget about being taken seriously and expect to make less money than a man in the same position. Next to no women in management on store side. I have also seen excellent employees with great potential passed up for promotion due to sexual orientation. We have a lot of wonderful ideas for making all of our jobs easier, but no time to implement them. It's hard to teach people how to work their assigned area when you can't leave the fuel desk.

    Advice to Management

Out with the old, in with the new. The old men running the show need to either learn that bullying is no longer effective in this day and age, or just retire and let more progressive, forward thinking people run the company.
