    Pros

Great corporate campus, and due to lots of functional roles as well as a variety of departments, great opportunities for career growth and future moves.

    Cons

After moving to Charlotte, Lowe's needed a bit of time to "grow" into a more competitive job market. Vacation policies were a bit behind the times, as well as official corporate dress code policies following the store rules was a bit ridiculous.

  2. Store 757 is one the worst poorly ran stores period .

Each store has select employees who are chosen to advance .
Stores find reasons to fire veteran employees to save money .

    Pros

Great company, values employees, great benefits, great compensation, overall great environment

    Cons

Overworks upper level management team, sets unrealistic expectations, don't positively reinforce employees and staff

    Advice to Management

Reevaluate workload on upper level management team and expectations. Praise your employees, including your management team for the positive things they do and coach and develop the opporunites in a more constructive manner so they feel empowered and successful

    Pros

Decent hours, Solution selling. Good co-workers,

    Cons

Terrible HR, declining benefits, Store Manager good, but weak w/ superiors. Doesn't realize it's no longer his store, but his HR Mgr.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the people that make the store run. Not the temps, not the cashiers, but the ones that make the store money.

    Pros

Family atmosphere, benefits and vacation are comparable to non-retail companies, room for advancement

    Cons

Pay is okay, but not enough to live off of unless you are in management. Only one weekend off per month. Work-personal balance is left to be desired. Must work opening, mid, and closing shifts.

    Pros

Decent benefits and good 401k match. Most of the managers are friendly and treat employees with respect.

    Cons

The schedules stink; you never have the same days off or shift. They require "Open Availability", which isn't always possible for some people. Sometimes you have to work a closing shift, and come back the next morning for an opening shift.

    Advice to Management

Don't play favorites with employees. Be more flexible with work schedules. Provide better pay for experienced employees.

    Pros

Decent benefits; climate controlled environment (for most part); floor employees are pretty decent people to work with (for the most part)

    Cons

Corporate tries to tell local store how to run things eventhough they have no idea of what is happening at the local level. There are corporate mandated reports and procedures that "must" be accomplished that contradict and counteract each other. Some p/p prevent you from doing other p/p. frustrating if you care about doing your job.

    Advice to Management

Associates should be able to concern themselves with properly servicing the customer. The primary job assignment sees to be " make sure you stay between 39 & 40 hours". It was passed down to me from regional that even if you were closing a nice sized sale you were to hand it off to someone if it was time for you to punch out. just leave the customer hanging.
