    Pros

Great coworkers with decent pay. management, forklift, sales and warehouse experience all in one shot. Weekly pay. No late nights except for inventory in January. Fun incentives/contests between your region/regional manager. Communication between stores in your area is immaculate, you meet a lot of new people. I've learned a lot from working with lumber liquidators. You only ever have 2-4 other employees at a time for your store, so you never have to worry about hours shortage, mostly a set schedule. GREAT GREAT GREAT Healthcare and 401k plan. Always room for advancement

    Cons

You can't call off. You just cant. My store has 4 people normally. One person calls off, the whole store/your only coworker gets screwed. Sick? Cool, bring your medicine. You can always count on your job being threatened by your regional if you can't make your monthly sales goal. Which is hard to do when they open stores back to back of each other. If you can't lift, don't apply. Heavy boxes need moved, (doesn't bother me). Warehouse is hot during the summer, work most holidays (except xmas, thanksgiving and easter). They give you so much vacation time, can't use it because of lack of employees. Conference calls are mandatory, once a week. Even if you're on vacation. (If your able to use your vacation, be thrilled if a conference call is the only thing you have to do for them.) Days off entail going to HD and Lowe's and other flooring stores to comp shop. Lol, good luck getting out of that one. I make 13$ an hour as an asm1. started as warehouse-$10 asm2-11.50 asm1-$12.75. Bonus pool every month determines on if you make plan, not based off of how hard you work. Management positions aren't easy to come by, but if you do get the offer to run a store, you have to relocate to a different state.

    Advice to Management

Don't underestimate how hard your employees work, and don't think for one second we don't discuss pay. Promote within, stop hiring people off the streets to run a store when they don't even know what a laminate floor is

Lumber Liquidators's business model is well presented to all employees. It is a fast pace environment. Talent is always recognized and rewarded. Many chances of promotion. Amazing benefits.

    Cons

Long retail hours. Every weekend is spent working. Average 45+ hours a week.

    Pros

Great pay, easy work, and they promote from within. Most run their own store within two years of getting hired.

    Cons

10-12 hour work days, consistent stress, lots of apologizing to customers due to delayed services.

    Pros

Good pay. The hours are comparatively good for retail.

    Cons

A decent chunk of your pay is a bonus. There are not enough employees to cover the store most of the time.

    Advice to Management

Allow stores to hire part time employees. Even if they are only going to work 20 hours a week they would be helpful.

    Pros

Great benefits, one plan is free for you and the family. 401K match is offered. Without a degree, this job will pay you.

    Cons

Retail hours, weekends a must. Not a lot of employees per store makes taking time off difficult. But thats retail sometimes. Call center is the other side of this coin.

    Pros

Pay's well, casual dress code, freedom on how you manage your time and priorites, new challenges, days go by fast, and good benefits.

    Cons

Can get very stressful at times due to constant growth with minimal support. Very lean corporate structure leaving one position with several additional duties. If you are an effective worker they will find additional projects for you to manage with minimal pay increase. Often unable to use all the paid time off given due to deadlines causing work fatigue.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the harder corporate workers with bonuses and increase in pay. There are unbalances of the amount of responsibilities and challenges yet some are paid more due to seniority.

    Pros

I really like how relaxed Lumber Liquidators is. There's a lot of autonomy and freedom, dress is always casual and there the company is growing so there is a lot of opportunity to move upwards.

    Cons

Sometimes employees abuse the relaxed atmosphere and focus more on social pursuits than doing their work. Sometimes there's a task right in front of everyone's face that needs to be done and would help everyone in the company but no one puts in the extra effort to do it, because it might go unrecognized or is just not worth the effort.

    Advice to Management

Work to keep the good things about the environment, but seek to limit autonomy when it is necessary for productivity.
