Former Employee – worked at Luth Research
Pros – - Located in San Diego.
- Free parking (when avail.)
- Great facility for other professional research companies to conduct focus groups.
Cons – - Although I have no idea what it is like for the phone room/hourly workers, as a salaried professional there is absolutely no way to navigate your career performance - "subjective" at best.
- Grossly underpaid, based on industry standards.
- Terrible and out-dated methodologies with focus on volume over quality.
- Revolving door for employees who realize mistake after joining the company and flee as soon as possible.
- Questionable decision making leading to lost business and resources.
Advice to Senior Management – Forget billing yourselves as a reputable research organization. Focus on providing facilities for "real" research companies to do business.

Former Employee – worked at Luth Research
Pros – Work from home options if needed
Friendly staff
Flexible working hours, can determine your schedule within reason
Comprehensive benefits package
Cons – Company management style has not grown with size of company. Tendency to micro-manage.
Senior management does not empower staff to lead in the areas where they are subject matter experts.
Clear, open and honest communication is not a part of company culture. Heavy politics and lack of information sharing.
Little to no growth potential.
Salaries not competitive to market rates.
Advice to Senior Management – My advice is to empower staff to do what they do best. Bureaucratic approval processes prevent progress and limit team effectiveness. First to market is not the goal, first to inflection point is - products should be quality first.

Current Employee – been working at Luth Research
Pros – Friendly, diverse people to work with.
Offer opportunities to those with criminal backgrounds.
Free onsite parking or parking reimbursement.
No physical labor.
Cons – No fulltime positions.
No benefits.
Low wages.
Managers are inept.
Shady practices, hiring those with criminal backgrounds, but easy dismissal.
Low quality of equipment.
Advice to Senior Management – Upgrade the quality of equipment, the quality of training, and the quality of people hired. Hire less people and pay the good employees more, even if commission.

Current Employee – been working at Luth Research
Pros – Great second chance opportunity company.
Cons – Not good with evaluations and raises
Advice to Senior Management – Be more on top of evaluations, employees like to know where they stand. Employees like to feel appreciated more often than showed.
