    Graphic Designers DON'T APPLY!!!!

Senior Graphic Designer (Former Employee) Coopersburg, PA

ProsGaining experience in AdobeSuite. Gain experience of a badly managed company and learn how to avoid such companies.

ConsIncredibly poor upper management, lazy marketers who make the Graphic Designers do their work for them.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry keeping a Graphic Designer for more than a few months. Hire them as a full time employee. Treat them with respect, instead of like cattle about to go to the slaughter house. Have some guts and don't have hiring agencies do your dirty work of letting the employee go after you have used them for what you needed.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

The most mismanaged company I have worked for.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Coopersburg, PA

ProsThe management is clueless so you can basically work at your own pace or skill level.

ConsThe management is clueless and basically comprised of old timers who were with the company from the beginning and when they mess up in one department are not fired but just moved to a new one to mess up and rather then hire permanent employees they rely heavily on temp workers.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire some full time employees and don't be afraid to fire some managers and non productive employees.

Experiencing a toxic work environment will make you cherish your future company.

    Pros-The cafeteria is pretty good.
    -It has a gym.
    -Paychecks arrive on time.
-There is a pond on the property.

Cons-The company is dominated by engineers and salespeople. The engineers rely on salespeople to make business decisions. This leads to short-sighted sales initiatives and incompetent sales people being put in leadership positions. Anyone with real leadership skills or experience is marginalized and eventually leaves the company.
-Lutron products were state-of-the-art in the 90s. They have not kept up with competition as technology advances.
-The senior leadership is older than your grandparents. They run the company how your grandparents would.
-Cramped, overcrowded cubicles are the norm. Nobody gets an office until they reach VP, if then. And you need to be a senior citizen to reach VP. Or an incompetent salesperson.
-Total lack of diversity. All VP and above are white men. Little to no diversity in any department.
    -Don't drink the water.
-The Lehigh Valley is not a great place to relocate to. It is a depressing, post-industrial place inhabited by depressing, post-industrial people.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmpower your employees, encourage initiative, compensate equitably. This may help your turnover problem!
