    Uncertain

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsInteresting time to be working in health care IT; great opportunity to work on a new project designed to address the current and future needs in the industry; much flexibility for work/life balance.

ConsInability of senior management to make decision that allow projects to proceed in a timely manner - frustrating starts and stops; leads to being behind others in having a product ready for market - question the viability of the company long-term - not nimble; lag in creating world-class customer service - long history; performance evaluation program is all about structure that rewards high-flyers but does little to provide substantive support for employee development - deadlines are regularly not met by senior staff with no accountability and MJOs are created/revised without discussion halfway through the year.

Typical KookAid - a lot of talk, little relevant action

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Wayne, PA

    ProsPay is great.

Thankfully still some good people around, though many have left.

ConsPoor products and poor support for them. Little if anything done to address either. Just keep pushing out the next new incomplete features.

Not all, but many ... Managers who don't actually manage anything, seem like they don't actually want to manage, but want a managerial title and, if anything, "lead from behind" and try to apply pressure to get what they want. (a quote: "Let me find out who I have to push around to get this done.")

Upper management that seems to know plenty about sales & marketing, but little about what it takes to have something clients actually want. (a quote: "Sales cures all ills.")

A lot of talk about work/life balance, but don't try to actually have work/life balance. Can accrue plenty of time off, just don't expect to be able to use it; or if you do, expect to have to work while you're away.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe problem's not with the staff. It's with the lack of necessary leadership, lack of management, dismal product quality and poor, when there is any, support for it.

    Still hoping !

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Wayne, PA

ProsThe executive management team talks a great talk. They are happy cheerful people. Hoping this will spread to lower levels of management and employee base. There are great projects in the works.

ConsToo many bosses and not enough producers.

    execs love title and perqs

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosdedicated people at the core of the business; doing the best with a bad product and declining reputation

Consflawed products, egotistical execs who think they know it all, hypocrisy of messaging about how people matter; declining customer base; keep moving the deck chairs on the Titanic rather than focus on exec talent; coming from a name company doesn't mean you are a good leader

Advice to Senior Managementyou can talk all you want about how important people are and even hire a Chief People Officer but your actions speak volumes and reveal your true values

A good company founded by American ingenuity destroyed by pride and gr,eed

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsCompensation compensation, compensation, compensation, compensation

ConsRun by management much like a country run by Caste System. The worker bees and then the royalty.
Laying off complete departments and then asking other employees to step into those functions within in the company with no regard to their skill sets, educational background and work history. No training or professional development. Poor leadership. Leaders chosen and placed In roles that they for which they are not qualified. Positions appointed without posting the opportunity to others.

Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand that the company needs to have uniquely qualified professionals to perform the very specific and technical tasks. In other words, you can not fit a round peg in a square hole just because you laid off or chased off all of the round pegs.

toxic culture under a leadership team that cares little for employees

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosemployees care about their work; a lot of capable people; smart technical people; employees put up with a lot of abuse

Consexecs want commitment but most of them work remotely from different part of the country; messages about people being a valued asset are the height of hypocrisy: criticism and demeaning people is the real experience; morale is non-existent and talent is leaving weekly but execs don't really care

Advice to Senior Managementbe honest and just tell people it's all about the money and results no matter how you get them; don't preach candor if it really just means you can say anything you want with complete disregard for showing any respect for others

Went from Awesome to Awful in such a short time

    Software Developer (Current Employee)
    Chesterbrook, PA

    ProsFlexibility
People (mostly those that used to work here)
    Free Water

    ConsRidiculous senior leadership
    Poor job stability
    Bad code base
    Little/no attention to technical debt
    Poor developer hardware
No investment into development, new technologies, software licensing/support

Advice to Senior ManagementStart off by firing Deb. She's driven this company straight into the ground, and it's only getting worse. Then, remember that you are a SOFTWARE company. You don't make/improve software without R&D. It's time to invest in it, or this company is going under.

Run away! With this leadership there is no future in this company.

    Senior Software Developer (Current Employee)
    Wayne, PA

ProsGood group of people. Good work/life balance.

ConsLeaders do not know what they are doing. Good managers are gone. Most of the current managers need LOTS of training.
The CEO brought most of her friends as VP's.
Nothing to learn, it is a 9 to 5 kind of job.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop lying to customers and employees.
