    Pros

good place to work in Albert Einstein College at other places than MRI center.

    Cons

I went to interview few years ago and there are individuals in the department, they are road block to everything, they make hell for you and give you bad reviews about you to their boss for not selecting you. Every year they advertise for positions for technicians, associates, post doc. this position was not filled because of them. I do not know why the director did not understand this. Please be aware that before applying there.

    Advice to Management

Director of Gruss MRI must understand what is really going on there.

    Pros

Compensation and benefits are decent. But NOT worth it.

    Cons

Politics, politics POLITICS. You basically have to be married with kids or male to get any advancement. Very toxic work environment. Depends largely on the department, but I was working in a soul-crushing environment. It didn't matter how well you did your job, but if you make one mistake, hell hath no fury. No real training to speak of. We were expected to know the job on day 1. Management was not receptive to questions. Questions were met by answers of "I'm not going to tell you how to do your job" and "As the (insert job title here), you should know what to do." I wasted 6 years of my life here, and pretty much destroyed all my personal relationships in the process due to emotional/psychological breakdowns.

    Pros

Great education. Diligent and smart students. Good research resources. Plenty research related activities such as seminars, conferences, talks, etc. Great basic health care and maternity care.

    Cons

Work load on research is very heavy. Exposed to high risk and high pressure but received very low compensation. Salary is not enough for sending an infant to a daycare center. Small working space. No dental insurance.

  6. Good reputation, however, professors are too busy with business instead of teaching

    Cons

Very competitive environment, very little attention from your advisor

    Advice to Management

MIT is a great school, because it attracts the best talents around the world, however, the professors should pay more attention to people, instead of their business
