    An Excellent Intern Experience

Former Employee - Student Associate  in  New York, NY
Former Employee - Student Associate in New York, NY

    Pros

Excellent HR Staff, Opportunities to meet with executives or heads of departments, opportunity to spearhead your own project as a student associate, and the overall family atmosphere. This is a great place to work and a great place to get a head start.

    Cons

Unclear hours/expectations, some regular employees tend to be inappropriate, very much a "boys club". The most frustrating thing was the review at the end of my experience there, and I'm told this is a common issue. Also the pay is technically minimum wage, but it's not nearly enough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If your student associate isn't doing something you want her to do, tell her. Don't let her keep making the same mistake until the very end of her experience there.

Former Employee - Intern in New York, NY

    Pros

Managers are very willing to help interns learn about the industry and everyone is open to answering questions.

    Cons

Some days were very slow. A lot of "busy work"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give all of the interns a semester long project to work on and share at the conclusion of internship.
