    Pros

Great HR, good team structures, and easy paced environment. Lot of opportunities to interact with top executives of the company. Open for new ideas.

    Cons

Low pay for interns with no additional benefits.
Employees are overburdened with several not-so-clear projects.
    Mediocre minds at workplace.
    Behind in technology timeline.

    Advice to Management

Don't overburden the employees and have a good pay structure for interns.

I worked at Magna International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This place is a great work environment, its clean and very easy to do. You don't have to worry about any uniforms or dress code. the work attire is comfortable.

    Cons

The people they have in charge are people who can hardly speak English and is very difficult to speak to. Communication is terrible with can make the work day very stressful.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to get people who are fluent in English!!

    Pros

coworkers are nice. Nice benefits for a co-op. Small company so you get to know a lot of people.

    Cons

A lot of change in leadership. Did not have projects in mind for co-ops. Poor pay for a senior co-op. Chance for decent overtime pay.

    Pros

Compensation is generally good. You get to work with some experienced engineers as well.

    Cons

Fire fighting environment. Every person is loaded with multiple projects. Available engineering resources go to whatever project has the biggest problems. Too much politics at a management level and a huge disconnect of what is going on the ground. Management team with rare exceptions is incompetent and clueless, somehow people at a working level always seem to the problem/scapegoat for failures. Business comes in at a rate much higher than the available resources can absorb. Project plans are pretty much meaningless since resources aren't steady.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

Pays well and…..hmmm that’s it. Benefits are comparable to industry. They give out a large “discretional bonus” every year.

    Cons

Everyone stays around for the bonus. Arrogance runs wild at Magna Powertrain. If you are technically capable in any way, you will spend most of your time trying to explain technical issues to incompetent arrogant managers. Worst program management I have ever experienced. Culture does not promote a work life balance at all. A lot of engineers are forced to work holidays and weekends. The layer of management above director level is the root of the arrogance
Run! Run as far away from this place as you can!

    Advice to Management

    Quit rewarding incompetent people!
