Former Employee – worked at Manhattan Associates
Pros – - Good pay compared to industry standard.
That is all.
Cons – - Immature Leadership.
- Even if you have no work, you will be called to work on Saturdays just because your team is called for work.
- Minimum requirement is about 60 hrs per week entire year.
- Demotivated and burned out employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Resign your jobs. you are very immature. Let people with management and leadership skills handle the projects.

Current Employee – been working at Manhattan Associates
Pros – 1. Salary is kind of competitive compared to other companies.
2. Some decent people at work.
3. Good marketing team.
Cons – 1. Buggy software that you don't get the time to ever fix properly because the deadlines are always unrealistic.
2. Politics between teams is rampant.
3. Most of the managers are terrible at their work and play favorites.
4. Impossible deadlines.
5. Lots of meaningless promises from management.
6. Talent does not get promoted. Talent leaves for other companies where pay is better and they're treated well.
Advice to Senior Management – 1. Do whatever it takes to retain talent. Learn to treat them as people and not as replaceable cogs in a machine. Given the knowledge and experience they bring to work, they are not cogs.
2. Try to control the rampant favoritism at work.
3. Set realistic deadlines. This is easily the most important thing to do. The company's been burned time and time again by delivering buggy products to customers that were not properly certified because of impossible schedules. And yet, they fail to learn.
4. Senior managers should start meeting individuals or at least attend team meetings. They need to get their heads out of the clouds and their legs on the ground.

Former Employee – worked at Manhattan Associates
Pros – Challenging work content.
Interesting domain.
Cons – There is no encouragement to develop your skills. In some cases, employees are actively discouraged from learning domain-specific skills.
Managers play favorites and keep the techies pitted against one another. They are - as another reviewer said - trying to "carve out their own little fiefdoms".
Anyone who tries to grow beyond his role is in danger of losing his job. So is anyone who does not fit in with his immediate manager's plan to achieve his "fiefdom".
Since every team is working against multiple deadlines and there is no unified leadership, the teams are constantly colliding against each other.
Advice to Senior Management – Go through exit interview notes and see if those who left were changing their employer or changing their boss. Identify that boss who was changed most.
Encourage domain-exposure, as it will help techies look beyond bug-fixing.
