    Pros

I met some of my lifelong friends and mentors working at Manhattan R&D. The leadership is approachable, logical, and driven. There are individuals within the R&D group who continuously try to bring new technologies into the fold (and often succeed). This is a talented group and they will go far.

    Cons

Working with some of the Legacy Codebases can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Continue to push for adoption of new technologies and standards.

    Cons

You've got to work hard to stay current at MANH, but it's worth it.

    Advice to Management

Never take your current success for granted and keep looking over your shoulder for competitors.

    Pros

Market leaders and true visionaries. Very dedicated to the field of supply chain and to their customers. Benefits are very good and the company cares about the career paths of its associates.

    Cons

Demanding schedules, deadlines, hours. This is not outrageous and nothing different from other companies, especially software and technology companies, just an observation that it takes real commitment and drive to keep up.

    Advice to Management

Trust in the instincts and the talents of the employees you have hired which is why you hired them in the first place. Sometimes there are too many levels of approval required.

    Pros

Exciting fast passed work environment. You get to work with really smart peers and support the backbone of commerce in the US. Supply chain is an exciting business and you work with the top companies in the world.

    Cons

There is a lot of travel. While the travel can be fun it is intense and it is not always to exciting places. The pay at MA is not where it should be for a company that requires so much travel.

    Advice to Management

Increase the the pay levels and you can retain employees for the long term.
