    Pros

Great benefits and coworkers. Stable company. Annual company meetings are fun...if you're able to attend.

    Cons

No control of your life. Executives do not care about employees. Company hires 100+ college students each year. Only a fraction of them (~20%?) remain after 2 years so there's a huge gap between upper management and the people that actually perform the work. Employees are expected to forfeit personal lives to 'do whatever it takes' to perform on the unrealistic timeline that was promised to the client (i.e. lots of holiday and weekend work).

    Advice to Management

Quit making promises to clients that the company can't keep. Treat your employees as people.

    Pros

Manhattan offers great benefits and decent compensation. Politics is kept to a minimum and all departments work very well together.

    Cons

Work/Life Balance not so much; cannot work from home

    Advice to Management

Talk to us once in awhile ~ we have some great ideas

    Pros

Highly recommended for starters. Pay is okay, probably above average depends on experience. You will get to know many great, knowledgeable people in the field. Also get to work with many well-known companies. Also come with travel perks if that's what you like. Close working relationship with R&D team which is a lot more supportive than before. Business as a whole is going great and future looks good. A lot of upward opportunities because turn over is high in the mid-level.

    Cons

Terrible work-life balance at times. This is not just for young junior positions. Have seen many senior people also putting in ridiculously long hours doing front line work. Hard to do if you have family. Not sure if that this what I want to see myself going in 8-10 years.

    Advice to Management

Don't sign unrealistic contracts with clients. At the end it just hurt employee morals and does nothing good to the projects

    Pros

Pay is competitive, if you want to work in supply chain, it's the best option.

    Cons

There used to be a good leadership team, but most of the good ones left, even all the good HR people have moved on. There is no company culture, other than fighting fires

    Advice to Management

Hire good managers, recognize those that do a good job.

    Pros

Manhattan pays comparable salaries for non-tech positions. Pretty decent benefits.

    Cons

As of 2013, new leadership seems to be a bit undecisive, which has caused extra effort on an already taxed staff. In addition, when an associate resigns, the responsibilities tend to be distributed through the affected organization (usually one person). Management waits until something is broken before bringing in contractors to fill the gap. Non-bonus eligible raises have tended to be rather low over the past couple of years, even for high performers. This is despite the fact that Manhattan has been consistently had record earnings for the same period with zero debt and over $100 million in cash. There was a big push earlier this year to complete an Atlanta Journal-Constitution "2013 Best Place to Work" which is touted everywhere, however, many are curious how this could be given all of the above cons.

    Advice to Management

More decisiveness in direction; given record earnings, zero debt and $100 million in cash, spread the wealth a little for non-bonus eligible employees; the message read from not backfilling positions does not help an already understaffed organization.

    Pros

Friendly people, embedded in wide array of businesses, innovative products, wide range of age groups, and extremely diverse. Salaries are reasonable, benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

Great starting point for a career, but career development is lacking unless you are willing to live on the road for a few years. Management turnover makes continuity a challenge. Salaries while decent are not the highest in this industry.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your people.

    Pros

Manhattan has a great office in Atlanta, but as a Consultant you dont spend much time there. The opportunity to travel is something I enjoyed but might not be for everyone.

    Cons

Work - Life Balance is a little skewed. Training was next to nothing, 2nd day on job I was at a client site.

    Advice to Management

Give us a little more training!

    Pros

Great team, environment, culture, dedication to improvement

    Cons

None yet. The company has a lot of young people so this is kind of the training grounds for professional newbies, so there's still a lot of personality and spunk, which is a good thing, but can sometimes seem like The Real World at times....

    Advice to Management

Keep minds open, create a positive atmosphere that's open to new ideas, be open to progress
