I have been working at March of Dimes as an intern

    Pros

My immediate supervisor is great - she brings up the other employees in the office, always being positive and ready to lead.

    Cons

Your to-do list seems never ending, although this can be ok. Working in a small unit can mean you are responsible for many activities outside your specified job description.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Constant communication is key.

I have been working at March of Dimes part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

It is great that they are here to help those who have lost a child. It is also great that they are able to help those families with children born prematurely.

    Cons

Should have more options to choose from with low prices

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

  3.

No positive feedback. Turnover blamed on staff, not environment. National takes no accountability for lost sponsors.

I have been working at March of Dimes full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Interaction with teams, sponsors and community is very rewarding.

    Cons

Low pay and little support. Structure is divisive. MODs hires employees who can't get jobs elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Acknowledge positive. Negative feedback without only doesn't motivate employees to work harder to reach goals. Policies and procedures must be practiced fairly and consistently.

I worked at March of Dimes full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great management and leadership, friendly and warm environment, staff who genuinely care about the organization's cause, opportunities for advancement especially if you're willing to put in the time and also move locations, Great work life balance, flex schedule available which gives every second Friday off. Organization is a big believer of Fish Philosophy. Excellent salary and compensation which reflects education and designations obtained.

    Cons

Very few if any... employee review is only done once a year (probably due to the fact that they are non profit and therefore more limited time and resources), but not really a big deal as supervisors and managers are always willing to make time to speak with you if you have any issues or concerns.
