    Very fast paced environment and some great people that you work

    Cons

    The pay was the worst. Being a manager and making less than $2 more than the general team members was quite discouraging.

    Pros

    In my case smaller corporation presented many opportunities to learn and hone skills that eventually enabled me to find a job in a larger corporation with opportunity for advancement and much better pay and benefits.

    Cons

    Workplace rules are not enforced equally. Senior/Upper management does not value the average worker and comments are made about why does the company need to provide benefits to the average, lower paid employee despite public comments that "employees are our greatest asset"..

    You wouldn't be where you are without ALL of your employees.

    Pros

    The management more or less does not micromanage and has some good benefits. They do have a free cafeteria in most hotels which is really a great thing.

    Cons

    They don't pinch pennies but they do pinch nickels. They are very cheap and pay below average for most employees. They need to care more about their employees and try to help them in their career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Corporate is way to large for such a small company. Please remove unnecessary people and make it less top heavy and pay your average worker more.

    Pros

    Free movies, popcorn, and drinks are a great perk for the high school aged kids who work there. Ushering (cleaning theatres, ripping tickets) requires pretty much zero cognitive ability. Working in the concession stand requires a little more since you're handling money. And working the box office you handle a lot of cash.

    Cons

    Start at minimum wage. Get a 25cent raise after one year. After that pretty sure the raises get smaller and smaller. If you're seasonal and making more than minimum wage, then minimum wage goes up to be higher than what you were making, your hourly wage only goes up to what the current minimum is once you come back, even if you've been there for years. You don't get much of a boost for supervising or managing, either. Wearing a tuxedo (as everyone who isn't a manager is required to) is also pretty lame. Hypocritical middle management.

    Promote based on competency and good leadership skills, not based on those who suck up and are good at nitpicking.

    Pros

    Great employees to work with, customers are ok. The benefits are very nice, free movies and popcorn and drinks. I would recommend it for a part time job.

    Cons

    The pay is very low, usually minimum wage but depending how long you have worked there possibly slightly above

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communication is very poor. If communication between the managers and the regular staff was more clear and encouraging then they could get much more out of what they have.

    My position has a good amount of freedom to it. Much of the time is spent roaming the halls looking for dishes to pick up.

    Cons

    There is good deal of walking involved, so if you're not able to do that, this would not be a good job for you.

    The only advice I have is to better communicate with the employees. It is not uncommon to receive different directions from two different managers, and figuring out which

    Good benefits and they are flexible with your hours.

    Cons

    Not much support from the management. No sick days paid, if you ill you won`t get pay for nothing. No bonuses and no raises on your 1 year review.

    Hire more managers, the Hotel is understaffed.
