Very proud to be part of this company. The company offers everything one need to build his/her career: colaborative working environment , supportive management, well defined roles and responsibilities among employees.

    Cons

Can't think of any negative sides of working at Marsh. Might sound too optimistic, however have had a great experience so far.

    Pros

Marsh offers a great working environment and the colleagues are really friendly and open to collaborate and work as a Team.

    Cons

I can't currently think of any cons regarding the work experience in Marsh; other than they need to review the current salary expectancy for some IT positions.

    Advice to Management

IT Position Salary compensation needs to be reviewed based on current standards and employees professional preparation.

    Pros

Good money, not a super high-pressure environment. You can stay there forever. On a bad day, it's like a pretty cool purgatory.

    Cons

Unsexy, lots of cold calls, insurance industry is not that exciting. My boss looks like a greasy quaalude dealer from Long Island in the 1970s.

    Advice to Management

    Dress better.

    Pros

Very stable company. Good atmosphere, with a sincere non-assuming feeling.

    Cons

Too much emphasis on metrics and the actual time taken to complete a task, in the use of Siebel time management program.

    Advice to Management

Put the emphasis back on what is actually accomplished daily by an employee and less on the metrics of the time it took to accomplish that task. Less micromanaging and more seeing the big picture would improve the bottom line of this company. Hire a business consultant to troubleshoot your training program for the role of Certificate Specialist in order to find out the reason for the high turnover rate in the classroom/ work setting and how it is affecting your operations budget and company morale and reputation. Hire an experienced, articulate person specifically for the role of first point of contact for the Data Entry department, so the data entry specialists can concentrate fully on their job and a more professional impression of the company in general will be experienced by clients and customers calling in.
