    Pros

There really are none, discounted food? If you get lucky, your manager may actually want to train you. Good de minimis fringes

    Cons

Company does nothing right, low pay and no responsibility, oftentimes you will find employees just sitting around chatting doing nothing because they have nothing to do

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to trust and compensate your employees, stop making managers managers because they know the CEO

    Pros

    N O T H I N G

    Cons

CIO, Program Manager, IT operation lead, team leaders (except idiots) all resigned.

One day, 7 people were called into a meeting room and terminated by being given 10 mins to pack things and asked to leave the premises.

They think people are numbers and figures to be disposed/recycled by replacing with the cheap off-shore. Their aim is not to build the foundation by integrating people, but make the quarterly number look good by sacking people and cutting expenses. There are in the game of cost cutting by sacrificing people. They will see the result in 3 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hopeless.

I have been working at Marsh

    Pros

The chance to handle broad range of works give opportunities to grow if you are willing to invest time and work longer. The chance comes because Marsh put workloads of more than one person can handle so that to reduce the headcounts and expenses.

    Cons

Marsh has no interest in knowledge transfer, improve employee, treat colleagues fairly. Good people have left and bad remain, then keep hiring wrong people. Classic pattern for an organization to collapse. There is no sense of responsibility and ethics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No hope for improvement. Needs to hit the bottom to realize the reality.

I have been working at Marsh full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Largest insurance broker. Specialized knowledge.

    Cons

Benefits were once one of the best in the industry but becoming very expensive as of Jan 2015 and with little or no pay raises, pay is actually declining. Parking rates increasing. Huge push for more sales and asked to do more than ever. Client advisors are micromanaged even though they are exempt. Lots of recent turnover. Dinosaur technology.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your employees. Give advisors the help they need to get the job done. Too many manager meetings with no real results. Be truthful, it goes a long way.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Marsh full-time

    Pros

The pay was good and vacation days were standard.

    Cons

Management is awful, people running around with a VP status that really just proves you stuck it out for too long at this company. Everything is based on tenure, not how hard you worked or much you accomplished. Disapointing.

I have been working at Marsh full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, colleagues and collaboration across departments.

    Cons

FINPRO leadership is detached and focused on "managing up" and taking care of their friends, rather than those colleagues that actually do the work. Performance reviews and bonuses are determined by a "beauty contest" under the corporate guise of "curve ranking", which does nothing but serves the purpose of leadership that punishes and retaliates against dissenters. I agree with the other commenter who noted that Marsh lies about giving raises. They do not…unless, of course, you are well-connected, OR you complain and they want to use you until they can find someone else to replace you!

I have been working at Marsh

    Pros

Great management, tools and process flow. Ability to learn a great deal. Supportive mangers etc.

    Cons

If talent is your biggest assets, why not invest in them? Lack of raises, bonuses and adjustments for promotions shows managements mentality only higher ups get taken care of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your intellectual capital. Show you care for employees, cause right now you don't!
