    Pros

Easy job pretty much. flexible hours Some people are friendly

    Cons

Managment sucks and makes you feel unappreciated. No matter what you ask them they never get it done. A lot of coworkers are rude. Or just flat-out really don't do their work. The pay isn't too bad but I still feel for all the things we do we deserve a little more but I feel that way with a lot of part time jobs. awful pay for the work you do

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to employees when they say they have mental disorders that impair them to work socially Stop threatening to fire us just because we're not getting as many TJX cards as you want if we ask we ask not everybody's going to say yes to a stupid credit card. Not even every 1 in 100.

    Pros

Diverse group of people to work with, hours seem to be flexible, busy day so time go by fast, willing to train you in other areas

    Cons

Disorganized management( each manager has their own rules they follow whether it's right or wrong), lack of hours, take advantage of some employees(if they start off as a hard worker then they always be expected to be that way until they burn out and if they start off slower or not as hard of worker they tend to be able to slack off more than anyone), favoritism plays a big part,

    Advice to Management

I think they need to do more background checks on managers since a few times the store hired managers that were not professional at all. Not just to employees but even customers who felt like they were being overly rude for no reason ( as if managers didn't care about them to begin with). I know this is just another retail store but no one wants to go to work feeling like they are not appreciated due to management.

I have been working at Marshalls

    Pros

Flexible hours, co-workers are awesome, gain a lot of retail knowledge.

    Cons

Horribly understaffed, managers, too much work expected to be done in little time, pay.

    Advice to Management

Maybe it's the area where this Marshalls is located at, but this job is not worth it. I get it, it's a job. But this place I would not recommend. I'm in the Mens and Kids department. The managers in this store depend on me so much and they're always pulling em away from my department and most of them expect my department to look nice, have a project finished, and have go-backs taken care of. Only reason I mind this is because Im always closing and that's when it gets the busiest. I'm pretty much skiing coordinator work without the pay. Only thing keeping me there are the awesome co-workers and coordinators.

    Pros

    - Always kept busy, hardly any down time - Had great co-workers which made the job more enjoyable, during my 10 months working there.

    Cons

    - Like all retail jobs, it requires you to be on your feet - Always understaffed. Your normal day will consist of a few cashiers working the registers and only 1-2 people working each department. Because of this, you will always get called to be a backup cashier most of the day if you are working the floor. By the time you get back to your department, it will be a huge mess and you will constantly hear complaints from your managers for not keeping your department clean. It is not our fault that we are understaffed, we were doing the best we can. Constantly giving us crap about how we are not doing the job doesn't help. - Expects too much from you for being paid minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. There is a reason why a lot of people quit here not long after they start.

    Pros

Good if you're in high school or college. Hours a flexible and they work with you with time off and vacations for certain periods of time.

    Cons

No room for promotion. Company guidelines always different based on whichever location you are working for.

    Advice to Management

Standard Rules and Procedures need to be overlooked and implemented at ALL locations.
