    Nice place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsAt the corporate HQ, people are friendly, culture is focused on enriching women, company is doing well, especially outside the US, and customers are loyal to the high quality products. Great employee benefits, health insurance, etc.

ConsCompany is changing from a US centric mindset to a multinational or global perspective, which causes some stress as best ideas are now coming from all over the world, not just from the headquarters in Dallas. Plus, different countries have differing needs, so that also adds other levels of complexity.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue focus on accountability and trust. Doing a good job.

    Wonderful company supporting women!

Independent Consultant (Former Employee) Carrollton, TX

ProsLots of team spirit, free marketing ideas and product discounts.

ConsYou must buy a certain amount to stay active as a consultant. Sometimes, this can make for a stockpile of products.

Advice to Senior ManagementSome Directors will not support a new consultant unless they have purchased over a certain amount of product. This just seems totally opposite to what Mary Kay would have done.

ConsI did not have a time to put into the job, because I was just doing it part time. THere were many opportunities for assistance, but I did not take advantage of them.

    It's up to you

Independent Beauty Consultant (Current Employee) Marmora, NJ

ProsUnlimited earning potential, company perks possible (cars, jewelry/diamonds, etc.), advancement, company support, flexible hours, no territories, etc.

ConsYou have to get out there and market yourself and your business - business is not going to come to you. It does require work (and on-hand inventory is helpful).
