    Pros

Working at the FMC spice factory, the friendly management helped make the job more enjoyable (provided you don't mind cheese powder up your nose and in your hair each day).

    Cons

Some of the old timers just love to talk behind people's back and criticize just about everything that anyone does that isn't perfect.

    Advice to Management

Monitor overtime hours, some employees take advantage of your absence...

    Pros

Long standing culture of caring about people. Cooperative atmosphere, Good work-life balance. Fair pay. Good benefits. Long tenure. A truly nice place to work.

    Cons

Conservative about change, but becoming more agile. Current focus on acquisitions is resulting in some growing pains. Time in grade can be quite lengthy and frustrating for some.

    Advice to Management

Rotate talent more frequently. Flatten decision making. Share best practices across functions. Provide technical training for commonly used tools (SAP, etc.).

    Pros

The people are very friendly and collaborative; there are many great potential mentors

    Cons

Often competitive environment...which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Office politics (as with any business on a large scale) can get in the way at times.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing great work and recruiting talented individuals who are passionate about the business.

    Pros

Very laid back, easy to work with. I learned a lot from the upper level management while I was there. A lot of the things that they did were very interesting. I also was able to participate in setting up the physical aspect of a new building they were putting up.

    Cons

Didn't really get assigned anything challenging. Wished I had. A lot of the things that I did were very menial and boring.
