I have been working at McDonald's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Some are great.Good flexibility

    Cons

Most managers leave crew attended and do not help them get food out. Drive thru has to run for themselves and so does front counter.

    Advice to Management

Stay on top of their positions, practice what you preach...

    I worked at McDonald's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discount on meals, that's pretty much it. Training is done through very descriptive and helpful videos, which you'll have to watch every time there's a new product.

    Cons

    - Rude customers - Stingy company (EVERYTHING a customer wants to add on costs extra) - High percentage of quitters - Difficult to get promoted or get a raise

    Advice to Management

Don't expect so much from managers. They're doing a whole lot more work for only a couple cent raise.

    Cons

Mostly work with teenagers There's always drama, cause kids don't know how to leave it at home. They mostly have teenagers as managers.

    Advice to Management

Don't allow teenagers be managers as their first job. Most of them are not mature enough, to handle it.

    I worked at McDonald's part-time

    Pros

Flexible schedule. That's about it. There really weren't any positives.

    Cons

Horrible pay (min. wage). No raises. No promotions. After I earned my associate's degree, they refused to promote me to trainer or manager, even though I had worked there for 2 years at the time. I was an extremely hard worker who was always there on-time and was even on-call to pick up extra hours. Instead they gave the title to an 18 year old girl.

    Advice to Management

If a worker has been there for several years and has proved that they are reliable and a hard worker, PLUS obtains a college degree, move them up.

I have been working at McDonald's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

McDonald's has decent benefits. Most people work well as a team.

    Cons

Senior leadership focused on cutting expenses and people more than using resources to move company forward. Still a culture of not listening to employees, only outside consultants. Seems people being put in leadership positions but lack ability to lead team. Current environment is one of confusion and uncertainty throughout.
