I have been working at McDonald's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

its a good way to start working if you are in high school and have your working card and don't want to depend on your parents for money.

    Cons

the only con is having to get used to the whole work experience and management can be unorganized at time as well as employee turn over rate.

Good place to work for as your first job. You gain a lot of experience, co-workers were great! you will gain a bound with customers who usually go there to eat.

    Cons

Stressful when it gets very busy.

I worked at McDonald's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

It can be a great experience depending on the people you work with. You are literally a team and when people don't get along or work together it shows. I had a really fun time the staff was fun to be around. Good if you are looking to just make a little money.

    Cons

The pay is minimum you have to work a lot to make any real money. There was a disconnect because the Spanish employees spoke very little English making it hard to communicate. They often end up cutting back hours for no apparent reason. And it was ridiculous how often they went through management its like we got a new manager every couple of months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you're going to hire people that don't speak English offer them an opportunity to learn its hard to work together when you can't really communicate.

    Pros

I met a lot of friends, it was a simple job, and it allowed flexibility to my scheduling.

    Cons

It did not allow for much growth or opportunity for those with degree's. It was simply a starter job for those looking for their first job.

I worked at McDonald's full-time for more than a year

    Pros

McDonalds is a good stepping stone. If you're a driven, focused employee, you have the opportunity to move up quickly in the ranks at your store. I was able to work flexible hours and get about 40 hours every week

    Cons

The atmosphere is what'd you expect at a fast food joint. Management is motivated and trying to succeed, but in any low-wage job, you'll have slackers. Pay is whats expected for a minimum wage job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Push store managers and shift managers to weed out the employees who have negative attitudes and don't work. If you attract a younger work force, like ages 15-30, they could be more inclined to stay and accept promotions.
