Management is poor and needs to work on communication. Managers should also be professional.

    Pros

Relatively consistent shift scheduling, and a 50% discount on menu items.

    Cons

Paid less money for considerably more work than other entry-level jobs. I was trained to be part of the "grill team" and then expected to run the kitchen by myself (and only after 3 days, too). Long-time employees and even management could be incredibly unpleasant, often getting frustrated with new hires. Rarely if ever got to take a lunch break. 8+ hour shifts with no break became common.

    Advice to Management

Try not to scorn new hires for not knowing how to do things during their training period. Give your employees a break if they work 6 hours or more. Actually schedule enough people to run the kitchen; there is always enough to do that having just one extra person wouldn't be a waste.

    Pros

Decent hours and flexibility, more than decent networking. However sometimes hours would get cut and some times days are busier than others.

    Cons

Owner operators found loopholes in everything to prevent them from having to pay out or provide services such as paid vacation and raises

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees lIke numbers and start treating them like people, train them to do things the right way first rather than teaching them the faster way.
