I worked at McDonald's full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Flexible hours
Easy for anyone with leadership potential to get management experience
Gives you experience working with all types of people

    Cons

Doesn't always attract co-workers who are easy to work with
Hours depend on level of business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your workers more. Providing incentives and merit-based raises more often will result in you keeping better workers. I've seen many good employees leave simply because they didn't feel appreciated when they do put forth effort.

I worked at McDonald's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Coworkers were generally friendly and helpful, and there was an emphasis on teamwork to efficiently serve customers. Allowed a lot of interaction with different kinds of people.

    Cons

When it was quiet, things were okay, but when it was busy, it was painfully so. It felt like you had to delegate so much energy to trying to fulfill orders you couldn't dedicate any energy to breathing properly. Very stressful!

I worked at McDonald's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Corporately-owned stores are well maintained and well managed. The standards are high and the expectations for customer service are very reasonable- a great place to grow and learn skills that can be useful wherever you work in the future.

    Cons

The staffing turnover at a McDonald's store is immense, causing the crew to be somewhat unstable at times depending on how the new workers follow directions and their competence.
