I have been working at McDonald's

    Pros

The best thing about the Mc Donald's I work is my co workers, their fun to be with, very energetic, & they just make the job very fun & worth it. Also meeting new people everyday is always a fun thing.

    Cons

The challenges are the customers who will give you a hard time. They'll get you upset, mad, & get annoyed by them. Although customers are the main priorities, if their not happy then were not happy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Nothing I can really say, they do a great job.

    I worked at McDonald's full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits, medical is so inexpensive, bonus program is nice. Great training to prepare you to be successful

    Cons

Sometimes the flavor of the month gets old. Not enough stability in the upper ranks due to turnover, promotions or transfers
Must help under performing stores and transfer your people to those stores, problem is they keep on turning over people and you basically have to develop talent between 2 stores or more

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's a great place to work. Sometimes the pressure for performance requires some people to cheat and not follow their personal values. With this it makes it hard on GM's who are honest. Some GMs are not good with their people and with this they have high turnover, other stores must keep on sending them talent. Turnover should be part of the bonus program. These managers who are turnover over people who are great are just going after short term profit but hurting long time potential.

I worked at McDonald's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

At McDonald's you learn how to work in a fast pace workplace, interact with customers, counting money, and develop your communication and customer skills.

    Cons

Working at McDonald's can be very challenging if you are a bit slow and do not like to work under lots of supervision and working in a fast pace workplace.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers can be very bossy sometimes. Being friendly to employees and treating every employee fairly equal will keep your employees very enthusiastic and excited to work as a team.
