    Pros

Nice new building with great cafeteria, great middle management, great location, better than average compensation, good work/ life balance

    Cons

Poor judgment from the c-level senior leadership, fairly new company but old technology, internal struggles caused by to many acquisitions over a short time.

    Advice to Management

Instead of showboating a brand new 4 story building off of Legacy blvd. in Plano worth 10's of millions of dollars the c-level leadership should have considered bringing your datacenters out of the stone age first. Looking forward they should build a financial cushion so if you are hit a poorly performing quarter you don't have to layoff a large swath of your contractors which are performing valuable services for the company.

    Pros

Great home life/work balance.Terrific facility, cafe, workout room, nice open space to work.

    Cons

Very little communication from mgt to workers. Right hand never knew what the left hand was doing. Very cliquey and political sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Better communication with the rank and file. If there's a change in direction of a project, let everyone know so they aren't caught flatfooted when they're told what they've been working on for the past 3 months no longer applies.

  3. Too many meetings and discussions

    Pros

Very relaxed work environment, flexible work hours, lots of people work from on Fridays; Nice people to work with; Once you have shown you are capable of doing your job well, it's very stable.

    Cons

Not a very exciting place to work for; Health benefits are surprisingly below average given the company is in this industry.

    Advice to Management

Hire the right people, motivate employees who has ambitions.

  6. Would be an ideal employer if compensation packages were competitive with the market.

    Pros

There is a great deal of focus on finding a work/life balance. Company does a good job of living out it's core values. It is generally a very pleasant environment to work in.

    Cons

Very little effort is put into retaining top talent. Raises are hard to come by, so make sure you negotiate well when you get hired, and plan on leaving in a few years if you'd like to see your financial situation improve more than 1-3% annually.

  7. Fair compensation but you definitely have to earn it.

    Pros

They provide an opportunity to be as successful as you desire. There are opportunities for professional growth and are positioned for growth.

    Cons

In my particular division, the quick growth left the group struggling to find its identity. There is no formal training.

    Pros

    -Stable jobs
-good balance between work and life
    -new facility

    Cons

-Underpaid, don't expect salary to jump much after you get through the door
-BAD year raise and bonuses....not even if you work hard. It will not pay off.

    Advice to Management

-Everyone works for a living. If yearly raise and bonuses continue to low, employee turn over rate will get higher and higher, especially for employee who have been in the company longer. Who know the company will never let them have enough raise to meet the salary we were hoping to get at the end of the tunnel.

MedAssets is a solid company in many ways but they aren't the highest paying company.

    Pros

I like the fact that people pull together to get things that needs to be done, done. I also like the fact you are always learning new ways and improved ways to do your job, and you are given the chance to put the hours in to get it done.

    Cons

The most important con about working at this job is that the commute to get here is a big one. know and understand that you staff dose not like to be threat'en. buy doing so you make them feel like slaves.

    Advice to Management

I would just like to say concerning this question that I would very much like for the management to give a bit more appreciation to the staff on all levels.and forward them there just due instead of always trying to feed them and a form of compensation.
