    The worst company/job ever.

    ProsIt's a paycheck, nothing more, no one there cares about the employees or the clients.

    ConsUpper management is clueless, they are not from the weight management industry and don't understand it. They threaten, intimidate and mistreat employees. There is such as "desperate" desire for success they swing through the air grabbing at anything that they believe will make them money. They have no direction, no communication and NO accountability coming out of Owings Mills, it's all about who your buddies and family are. There is zero integrity, no respect and no appreciation at all. Worst place I've ever working in my life.

    Advice to Senior ManagementSell while your stock is decent.

    No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Racism, Politics and Hierarchy Crazed

    ProsWorking for a well known Brand Name looks nice on the resume.

    Free products and health bars. Access to the local gym membership

    ConsRacism - Some VP's treated African Americans like lower employees or like they weren't as capable to do the work. When I worked there, a woman had great education in law and a particular VP treated her so condescending.

    Hierarchy - If you're black OR don't have a certain appeal about you they will ASSUME you work in the Call Center or that you should work the front desk. Both are viewed as "low" in the hierarchy or as company ants. Now if you are in those positions as a minority or are another race and not the corporate ideal blonde, then they will be nice to you because they feel that's where you belong.

    Advice to Senior ManagementMore diversity, equality and respect.

    MONSTERS! Worst emotional abuse at a job EVER ! EXTREMELY DYSFUNCTIONAL COMPANY

    ProsGetting to know and helping the members

    ConsThis company cares about NOTHING BUT MONEY. They claim to care about the members but are constantly cutting back on the services they provide and raising the prices on the meal replacements the members have to buy. They treat the employees very poorly and badger the center managers constantly about sales but will not advertise..they want them to do "grassroot marketing' and bring the prospects in that way alone. I worked there 3 years,the first 6 months was okay but then management kept changing and changing. The last year I was there I was belittled, cussed at, and was stressed most of the time.. They do things to people that are extremely questionable..DO NOT GO HERE. They are selling the centers as franchises and are not forthcoming about the details..always trying to string the employees along. There is no security here...they have been firing people left and right to save money and one of them was there 3 years,she was fired for not updated her sales board ! The previous district manager was constantly making inappropriate comments to the employees and harassing them..they knew but did nothing even though it was reported.

    Advice to Senior ManagementYou should be honest, stop making empty promises to your employees. Stop treating your employees like garbage. You didn't even give me an exit interview or acknowledge me when I gave notice..I WORKED HARD FOR YOU FOR 3 YEARS .

    Horrible company to work for!

    Prosmeeting really great people who come to us for assistance in losing weight

    Conspoor communication, no respect, long hours, working weekends, ridiculous unrealistic sales goals, the company charges weight loss program fees of hundreds of dollars to clients to sit for 5 minutes with counselors who don't know anything about weight loss! and the employee retention is very low, this company cannot keep good employees for over a year! and now they are paying employees commission only, really? the only employees that get promoted are the ones that work in the corporate headquarters who can say the word "scope" more than 5 x's in a sentence.

    Advice to Senior ManagementMorals! Ethics! treat people like they matter, when you began focusing on the dollar and not on the people that's when you began to lose. Look at you now........it's sad

    CALL BACK?

    ProsThere is nothing that can stay about this company, they didn't give me the opportunity to do it.

    ConsI thought at least HR would have the decency to call me back. They gave me instructions for a possible interview, but never called back to set the time or place for the interview. Supposedly, the site Manager would call me. So unprofessional. If you don't think I'm a possible candidate, then why call me. I believe its for the best. Al lot of reviews about this company have been just so negative. I rather work for a company that is in good standings with its employees.

    Advice to Senior ManagementCommunication really helps to strike a Dialogue. Most great successful businesses need it. Don't waste people's time.

    HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK

    ProsHelping people achieve their weight loss goals

    ConsHighly disorganized. They are understaffed and expect the 2-3 employees that are in the center to do EVERYTHING. They are too cheap to do advertising. Its about who you know not what you know. They fired 6 managers in a week just to pay for advertising in January. They are despicable. They are trying to sell to franchise buyers but the company sucks. They are bleeding money and they are too clueless to know how to get back on track. I would never work their again even if they tripled my salary. You have zero work life balance. You have to use PTO if you want a Saturday off... absolutely RIDICULOUS.

    Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees with respect. Don't just sit behind your desk while your company goes under and bark orders. Maybe you should try doing some of the ridiculous things you make us do..

    Medifast MN is the worst place to work! The management is the same group that ran LA Weight into the ground!

    ProsYou will learn skills that are transferable.

    ConsPoor hours, stressful clientele, high demand and very little reward. Supervisory staff leaves much to be desired; support comes more from 'who you know' rather than the proper channels. The business fails to properly arm itself and present itself: corporate tends to create its own problems and then expects the 'little man' to correct them with little to no communication.

    Incompetence.

    ProsGreat people and coworkers below the director level. Anything above is a political nightmare.

    ConsUnethical management with lack of know how. Too many office sitters with titles, not enough worker bee’s to do the actual work. Upper management makes decisions without clear research. Family members with little professional experience outside of the company running the business. No loyalty to employees.

    Advice to Senior ManagementSell the company and go sit on a beach.
