I have been working at Meijer part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone is really friendly and great to work with. The environment is fantastic, and there is a lot of room for promotions. The pay is very decent, and it's not too hard to separate work and life.

    Cons

Retail is a lot of hours and a lot of holidays. There is also a union that employees are a part of. There are a lot of girls, so sometimes there is a lot of drama and cattiness.

I worked at Meijer full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Advancement opportunities, the people, the culture, the management.
The environment of Team Work, is not just a fun phrase at Meijer, it is the Meijer way. You work in a team for your area, but the entire office is the real Meijer Team.
Honest values, and a commitment to your customer and quality become a way of life in the Buying Offices as well as the Corporate Headquarters as a whole.

    Cons

Raises are lower than should be considering the market average for the skills required to work in this industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your people a little more. Don't let your great talent leave because they desire a higher salary.
