Pros – Well established and stable company. Good training ground for new professionals to acquire technical skills and competencies.
Cons – Work-life balance is poor. Career opportunities for technical people aiming for management level is not a trend. Salary for engineers does not compensate the workload and responsibilities.
Advice to Senior Management – Review the factors concerning the engineers and other technical people in Operations. Why most of the best personnel wants to leave the company? Are they neglected, disregarded, overlooked or mismanaged? Or something wrong with the organizational heads? Maybe they feel they don't get much of what they deserve..Only one thing is for sure, there is something that needs to be done here.
Pros – everyone is kind, and working environment feels like your second home
Cons – no career growth. politics driven. no opportunity
Advice to Senior Management – value those who are really working hard and not just the upper mgt.

Pros – There are two opportunities each year where you could increase the salary. First is the CBA (negotiated by union) with an estimated amount of 1.5k-2k increase. Second is the performance based raise (estimated amount of 300-1200 per year)
Cons – Salaries and benefits packages for newly hired employees are not competitive compared with other companies. Tenure dictates the magnitude of your salary. Not based on performance or merit
Advice to Senior Management – Please review the salary / compensation of the new (up to middle aged) employees with high potential (engineers, cpas, etc.). More young employees are leaving because of the "below par" compensation/ benefits they receive
