    Pros

An easy going staff A Great building Your gym membership can be reimbursed, up to 400 dollars... Good healthcare plan Stress free work environment Paid Vacation

    Cons

Hard to move up Low pay The Building itself was nice, but in a weird location (beaverton) Management is clickly, and play favorites (I was not the only person who thought this)

    Advice to Management

Promote from within! This was a huge problem, and probably lost them a lot of money.

    Pros

-Pleasant coworkers. -OK benefits. -Acceptable work/life balance. -Cafeteria and health center. -Free parking.

    Cons

-Frequent layoffs. -Managers focused on downsizing and cutting expenses on existing profit centers. -Infrequent/extremely low raises. -No budget for formal training. -Little opportunity for advancement. -Company is supposedly meeting Wall Street expectations, but none of the money trickles down to average employees because it's all used for acquisitions.

    Advice to Management

Spread the wealth. Don't sacrifice existing properties and employees in the chase for acquiring new entities.

    Pros

Talented, kind people. Upper management seems to care about employees' well being. Holds an annual Town Hall meeting, complete with unscripted Q&A with CEO, in attempt at transparency. Very generous summer hours.

    Cons

Seemingly annual layoffs. Excessively frugal. Budgets are way too low. Absolutely no separation between church and state. Getting ads trumps ethics.

    Advice to Management

Have more respect for the editorial process and what is required of a staff to create content. Consider more telecommuting policies. Make salaries more competitive.

    Pros

Great benefits with unique features, decent pay, and mostly good employees. Very family friendly and encourages a work life/family balance.

    Cons

Your experience will vary widely depending on which location you are at. Corporate management is very slow to react to real crisis. Some markets have very, very poor upper management which has a trickle down effect to all departments and personnel. Do your research on local management before accepting a position.

    Advice to Management

Invest in innovation and put real resources behind keeping up with your competition.

    Pros

Other employees were friendly and no one was micro managing me.

    Cons

For the last 3 years I never received a promotion. Nor any incentive.

    Advice to Management

To put into managing positions people that do have skills for those positions or to train them.

    Pros

Great benefits- work environment- smart colleagues- passionate about the business

    Cons

Elusive sr management that only promotes their dream team. No raises- annual layoffs a big negative - if you're over 5o- watch out.- big red dot on your back.

    Advice to Management

Stop relying on layoffs to get stock price up and do something innovative that turns a profit
