    Pros

Excellent Benefits and Work, Life Balance. MetLife rewards hard work and offers many opportunities for advancement. The management and people are great.

    Cons

Outsourcing of positions. Very difficult to return to work at the company once you have left due to position being outsourced.

    Advice to Management

I would advise getting more involved in hiring people that truly want to work for MetLife. I have been actively trying to return to work at MetLife since my position was outsourced. I know what a wonderful company this is and would appreciate the opportunity to return to work here. I am currently waiting to be contacted for a face to face interview after a successful phone screen. I would be overjoyed if I am able to return to the company.

    Pros

I worked in the Inital Action Team for two years. Metlife truly cares about their employees and customers. The management is awesome and is always showing ways how they care about their employees: food, tshirts, outings, etc. If you get a chance to work for Metlife -- take it!!

    Cons

This position was only allowed 1,000 hours a year at $10. No chance for any over time unless you're full time.

    Advice to Management

I have nothing to note. All of management was nice and very helpful with any questions I had.

Great, relaxed atmosphere. They train you to be successful. Flexible hours. Can show up anywhere between 7-9 and work from 330-530. Work from home possible too.

    Cons

Fairly older environment. Not much activity at the office. Lot of people work from home or remotely and the office is pretty empty sometimes.

    Pros

Great work-life balance, responsive management and approachable/helpful employees. Every single employee there isn't afraid to help and contribute (should the need arise).

    Cons

Somewhat difficult to advance up to more significant leadership positions without substantial time investments; however, you typically get what you put in.

    Advice to Management

Management does a fine job overall; however, it could be reduced and restructured giving developers more control over their responsibilities and minimizing beurocratic vibes.
