    Pros

the employer takes the workers as his own family. a lot of patient appreciation bonus

    Cons

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management should treat their juniors with respect. Some of the manager treat you like you are working in their homes not knowing both of you are employees of Methodist.

I have been working at Methodist Hospital part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Great reputation, excellent standards, policies.

    Cons

12 hour shifts, too many rules with new ones being cranked out daily. Employees encouraged to report one another. Supervisors listen outside patient rooms to employee's interactions with patient. We need more help on the floors, stop rushing nurses to take patients at unsafe times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value the employees & patients, they deserve better, safer care.

I have been working at Methodist Hospital (more than a year)

    Pros

Senior Executives truly care about their employees. Good benefits, great childcare, CEO really stands by mission. It's truly a community hospital that cares about local businesses and people's livelihoods. A lot of leaders are passionate about the patients' care and the employees' experiences.

    Cons

Attendance policy is strict. As with any other public service institution, there are flaws and frustrations, and occacional bad seeds, however there are very few places left that allow you to feel part of a greater good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look harder for potential within. Look for policies to make it easier for eager and loyal employees to be promoteable.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
