Great experience, learn a lot as a sales representative.

    Sales Representative (Former Employee)
    Culver City, CA

ProsLearned a lot about customer service and how to deal with customers when they were upset or demanding. If you work hard enough and learn the company from inside out, there is tons of room for growth.

ConsSupervisors were not always that responsible and could not approach them too easily. Also, pay was not great. Raises were given, but very rarely and not too much was added. In addition, the way the commission worked was awful.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote the people who deserve it, not just the ones who have been there the longest. You deal with a lot of angry customers in this business, and you need people who know how to appropriately take care of them.

Great place to learn and grow within Wireless Retail

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsOpportunity to develop your sales skills and learn more about the wireless industry. Positive management team and great co-workers.

ConsChanges in business process due to merger have been cumbersome. Still some uncertainity with regard to jobs at the regional level.

A so so place for someone with not much experience.

    Store Manager (Current Employee)
    San Diego, CA

ProsCompany is so new that advancement is very fast if you prove you can produce

Conshours are borderline illegal, no benefits at all.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave a stronger plan for managing employees, and the lack of attention to details is a big problem for workers in stores. Better pay will result in happier workers and more productivity, people are willing to work hard if rewarded.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    A Really Average Company

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe company was frugal, and it DID pass the savings to its customers in the form of substantial cost savings for similar product offerings.

ConsWe were constantly reminded of the fact that we were working for the "low cost provider," affecting each dollar spent. The middle- and lower-tier employees were a distant concern for executive management, to whom, we were reminded, "we owe our livlihoods."

Advice to Senior ManagementHave you forgotten the working masses that built your dream and made you more wealthy?

Nice co-workers, but too many CRAZY customers!

    Key Holder (Former Employee)
    San Francisco, CA

ProsI worked for them before they merged with T-mobile and I always enjoyed my experiences with upper management. The company provided a lot of training and employee expectations were very clearly stated.

ConsThe customers were CRAZY! My life was threatened on multiple occasions and we had to have a security guard on duty at all times because of all the insane people that visited the store.
There was a lot of micromanaging (about 1/3rd of the employees were "managers."

    Advice to Senior ManagementStop micromanaging.

I came in the begining when it first opened up in new york city

    Key Holder (Former Employee)
    Brooklyn, NY

ProsGreat paycheck salary plus commission. Mangement team will train you and show you the ropes. You will meet alot of people and go to alot of meeting about the discontinued products and new product promotions. It easy to get to know they other employees because they transfer you alot about store to store.

ConsMangement is disorganized, lack of communication, work about of hours. Have to put of with corporate problems. Not alot promotions within. The dont really care about they employees.

Advice to Senior Managementget it together.
