    Decent company

Engineering Technician (Current Employee) Boise, ID

ProsBig enough to move around in and the technology is varied enough to stay interesting

ConsTop heavy in certain areas who's only job seems to be making their section of the org chart more impressive than their peers

Advice to Senior ManagementStop acquiring management who seem to only care about jockeying for position on the org chart relative to the other management instead of caring for what's best for the company

Good compensation but management is sometimes bizarre.

Software Engineer (Current Employee) Boise, ID

ProsThe purchase of Elpida was brilliant, and they are good at new technology (although frequently lagging competitors). Compensation is good. Opportunities for advancement are good, as is compensation, and tuition reimbursement.

ConsHealth insurance for specialists is limited to very few providers, and in come cases, no local provider.
Over the several years, Micron seems to care less and less about their employees. Top management appears to have hired business consultants and have launched crazy internal programs. Environment is too rushed to have a good culture. Internal feedback does not seem to be considered to a great degree. Break room perks are minimal.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees.

OK company if you want to live in Boise

Senior Product Marketing Manager (Former Employee) Folsom, CA

ProsThey are pretty advanced technology-wise and have some good Senior Manager/Director level people. Also company manages expenses pretty well

ConsFolsom site is losing power to Boise. A lot of pressure on experienced employees to take lower salaries or leave. Not willing to invest to gain growth business opportunities...trying to "save their way to growth"

Advice to Senior ManagementA lot of good individual talent and some Director-level as well. Need to invest in good people and let them do their jobs

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Limited growth opportunity

    Buyer (Former Employee) Manassas, VA

ProsStable work environment, benefits acceptable,, good training environment for engineers and support groups.

ConsIf you would like to advance be prepared to move to Boise or Singapore. There is little growth opportunity in Virginia.

Advice to Senior ManagementReduce Amount of managers/supervisors -very top heavy.

    Help yourself

Assembly Product Engineer (Current Employee) Boise, ID

ProsLeadership does not care about employees. They overload you with work and never care about your work life balance.

ConsNo promotions on horizon evn after 2 years. Always a scare of layoffs. Made me cancel a part of my vacation which was previously approved. I had to pay out of my pocket for change of air tickets. It was very bad on the part of leadership to go back on their words.

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove career advancement opportunities

Poor Pay for the job and area

Senior Technician (Former Employee) Manassas, VA

ProsAt the time there was plenty of over-time due to a running lean philosphy

ConsAfter 15 months I hadn't received a raise, evaluation or any other type of incentives.

    good

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosflexible hours, good people, global exposure

Consslow growth, lower level employees not aware of company strategy
