    Pros

The company has interesting technology and much intellectual property. It was a pretty flat organization and if you had good ideas you could most likely get permission (or forgiveness) to pursue them.

    Cons

Leadership historically has had trouble prioritizing and then adequately resourcing the programs and projects it chooses. It seems that in an tough environment the leadership didn't actually know how things got done in the company and let go key players. Many of the remaining team members followed on their own. Seems to be a revolving door in sales, marketing, and business development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decide what type of company you want to be and then resource that company and flawlessly execute. Or find a suitor and consider being acquired or simply shutting down the company and returning money to shareholders.

    Pros

The only real pro there is the people.

    Cons

    Poor leadership
    Lack of vision
Work Life Balance is out of whack
    No internal advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Alik needs to go before he drives the company into the ground. It's looks like management is just playing games to make money off of the stock. They put out meaningless press releases that drive the price up only to have it fall the next day back to where it was. Which means the PR was fluff.

    Pros

Technology and potential are compelling. This is why they keep getting investors.

    Cons

Could never make a profit. Stock price drove strategy rather than focus on building a good product at a fair price. They need stock price to look good in order to entice investors. Burn rate far exceeded revenue.

Good Work/Life Balance...no opportunity for career growth

    I worked at Microvision

    Pros

Excellent work/life balance. Laid back atmosphere.

    Cons

No opportunity for professional growth as the company is not growing. Periodic layoffs for mid levels and below (never for sr. mgmt). Lack of strong leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow your people professionally. If they want a career and you don't provide it they'll happily find it elsewhere.
