    A Company to be sold!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosit was a good company when good/talented people like earlier CEO was there. It was focused on market, talent, people, knowledge and values.

ConsOops! there are lot. If you reading this review for joining decision. Hope you have another offer.
There are lot of old rusting people around here; if you are talented/exceptional/smart or whatever.
First you should start pleasing your manager, you should spy on your own colleague, pass the negative info about your colleague to your manager. Now you are well qualified to be get rusted.
Hmm start getting rusted. Hey remember, if you follow the above steps, you'll be a manager soon (congrats for that!) and start a new gang.
Once you become manager; start manipulating the numbers, cheat your customers, co-workers and remember to please you immediate manager (thumb rule).

Advice to Senior Managementfire! fire! fire! there are lot of unwanted awarded mangers. Else, sell this company for good amount of money. You might see a good cash.

    Clients...Stay away from Mindtree

    Senior Developer (Current Employee)
    Gainesville, FL

Prosyou get to interface with multiple clients and customers but that's expected for companies that work in consulting.

ConsThey has no consideration for people with family. They aren't flexible and they are lacking in knowledge base. Very dishonest company and i would stay away from doing business with them. I dont like how they treat their clients.

Advice to Senior Managementhire experienced individuals and stop lying to the clients about mindtree employees skills and qualifications. The only reason i'm still working here is because there isn't much IT work around my area.

Not much opportunity and not Employee friendly as heard about it 2 years back

    Senior Project Manager (Current Employee)
    Phoenix, AZ

ProsGreat work culture, one can have better work-life balance,

ConsSalary, not much opportunity, longer bench period, no suitable roles which is an impediment to the career progression

Advice to Senior ManagementReducing salary will not generate revenues or profits, think long term and have stronger Sales and Business Managers. If Managers are not able to get revenues, please do not try to take away or reduce benefits to compensate those. That only aggravate the situation.

All that glitters is not gold!

    Senior Project Manager (Current Employee)
    Jersey City, NJ

    ProsI cannot think of any.

ConsNo hikes. No promotions. No recognitions

Advice to Senior ManagementThe management thrives on the concept of 'Openness'.
Recognize people for their contributions. At present, management follows strategy of "I take care of you and you take care of me...the others go to hell" policy. Promotions, rewards and recognitions are given not on merits, but on who bribes their managers the most.

Have you heard of Halo effect in PMP. The entire middle management of Mindtree is filled up with developers who were promoted because they were good developers and now have zero management skills.

    3. You can give Gifts to your managers and get promotions ...so if you want a fast growth find a good manager how is not too greedy .

Cons1. If you are really talented, this is not the place to be .
    2. Every day a new rule, new condition.
    3. There is no Employee Handbook, they dont follow their own rules .
    4. You join in US as US employee and you will get a 600 Rs bonus at end of year from India converted to $ .
    5. Terrible shockingly Immature manages
    6. Its more eating shop them a software services firm.

Good people, bad policies, incompetence, regional bias

    Lead (Current Employee)
    Jersey City, NJ

ProsA few good people to work for

    ConsIncompetent middle level managers
    Terrible salary structure
    No coordination between enabling functions
    HR irresponsible
Biased towards select set of people
    Senior leaders lie
Class values only talked about but not followed
Incompetent people get quickly promoted due to X factor
Huge egos for some but they still become leaders quickly
Don't hesitate to play politics to push senior leaders personal agenda even if it costs someones career
Funny appraisal methodology - incompetent people doing appraisals
Senior leaders Prefer playing sports like golf and tennis rather than increasing sales
Project managers make the team work 15-16 hrs even if the client is condescending
Client is GOD, even if he is wrong.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop the process of promoting project manager to general manager in 3-4 time frame. They are really incompetent.
Fire project managers who go to any extent to satisfy the client needs. Many teams are suffering due to this.
If you lose a few critical clients it will erode much of your business. Make sure to keep people happy in at least such accounts.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

    Module Lead (Current Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsThe Good :Was good a long time back with a bunch of good top management. Still good for freshers to get trained here and resign ASAP. Lots of Technically strong guys around to work with.

ConsThe Bad : Politics...A lot!! pay is very less...even small companies, consultancies and start up's are paying far better. Loosing good projects/accounts to various companies. Top most management resignations. sudden fall of share price like anything. clear exams for promotions . very less onsite as of now.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe Ugly : the annoying policies w.r.t timings, promotions ,Hikes. OMG!
No 100% variable pay whatsoever . just .1% chance. Money eating policies .
    3 months notice period! .
    Senior most guys attrition increased.
No projects---> no work(bench)---> no efforts.. so no variable pay! really? did i ask you guys to not get projects?
Working on weekends is becoming common nowadays without comp offs.
Worst Cafeteria ! not worthy .

    No advice! :-P
