    Worst plantation ever

    Anonymous (Current Employee) Albuquerque, NM

ProsPay is decent and benefits aren't bad

ConsMid- and senior management are complete morons. Employees are slaves expected to just nod their heads and say "Yes massuh" to every idiotic order. Employees are never consulted when processes are changed and do not feel valued. Employees at this health plan are leaving in droves. Office politics are not even thinly disguised, and your advancement is based on who you know. They keep the dysfunctional employees and run off the good ones. I will be gone as soon as I find another job.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdvice to corporate: Clean house.

    Sales

    Sales (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsGood employee health benefits and PTO, good sales manager that tried hard to help.

ConsPay, commission is not what it should be for the same position at another carrier. Molina has no specialist and seemed to not worry about it. They had a scam provider directory that few doctors are actually accepting the MMOP members.. High stress due to lack of providers.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet specialist that out PCP's can refer to. It's pathetic. Get transition of care. Medicare requires these things and eventually it's going to catch up to Molina, it will not be good. Distribute a directory that is correct and not a sham!

    Awful workplace

Case Manager (Former Employee) Springfield, IL

ProsPay, benefits, Co workers, members, volunteer opportunities.

ConsManagement, senior leadership, no training, all employees are referred, segregation amongst departments, no communication amongst departments

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your staff. Ask them questions better yet you should know the job better than your staff. Nothing is worse than asking your manager for assistance and being given the wrong information. You're not that busy, your job is to manage not 8hr meetings all day. Communicate with the staff what goes on in those meetings. Have your staff back. They know the job better than you. Stop talking behind all your staff back and gossiping with your referrals. It does get out when we're out on breaks. We know you aren't smart. We know the ones that's skating by. We won't cover for you and do your work for you while you take the credit. You should talk to the other department managers to find out what the others are responsible for. Know your workflow and other departments as well. At least know where you can find it. Lastly, learn how to comprehend. Don't just read understand what you're reading. Mayer fact take the time to read before you hit the reply button. We don't have time to continously train our new managers.

Terrible experience working for this company,

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe friends that I have made here I know will be lifelong friends other than that the job is just a check

ConsThis company has terrible management, basically left to fend for yourself. Honestly the worst working experience I have had to date.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs to held accountable for the problems the department has. There is no team work at the management level.

No raises in 2 years, but we all know how much money they've profited.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsMy co-workers, manager and director. Learned a lot and now have taken my knowledge to a competitor who appreciates it.

ConsWorkload, lack of training, all about the bottom line so the Molina's can line their already HUGE pocketbooks, low salaries, favoritism, Managers/Directors who don't have a clue about the day to day work, VERY top heavy, no more individual plans all just a franchise that corporate dictates, not about the member!

Advice to Senior ManagementRead my CONS, start listening to the individual health plans, they know BEST! Or continue to lose great staff like myself.

    Provider Service Rep II

Provider Service Representative Level II (Former Employee)

ProsStarted out as a good place to work. Soon turned into a company that lacks leadership and does not care enough about developing its employees. If your a self starter who just wants a job - then by all means apply. But if you want to make a difference and your caring - run!!!

ConsMicro-management, favoritism always shown, unexpected changes constantly, unrealistic deadlines, no potential for growth, no flexibility with hours. Should you not be in the clique you'll have problems.

Advice to Senior ManagementVery poor management. They keep bad employees and fire the good ones. If you you're not a yes man, don't work there!

This company is deceiving in that they pretend to care for their hard working employees

Corporate Recruiter (Former Employee) Long Beach, CA

    ProsThis company offers exceptional benefits.

ConsThis company hires friends and family of the Molina's that don't have talent nor are qualified to run a billion dollar managed care corporation. The employees bleed Molina green and then are blindsided with terminations. This company will suck you dry and spit you out. I had a strong passion for this company and was a loyal, loyal employee and one day they decided they had no more use for me. This is a common occurence.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet a clue on hiring executives who are not friends and family of the Molina's and get away from the Good Ol' Boys Club mentality.

The most stressful job I've ever had!!

RN Case Manager (Current Employee) Irving, TX

    ProsI can't think of any

ConsUnreasonable expectations, below average pay, upper management does not listen to employees concerns.

No Innovation. Bad Office Environment. This job sucks!!!!!

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Irving, TX

ProsI really enjoy my co-workers. I work with some of the best people I have ever met. Also if you are sick you can work from home. And that's about it.

ConsThis company seems to lack vision. Employees are not valued here and it is a revolving door. So many people either quit or get fired. Also, I go days and weeks without having any projects assigned. The job would be boring but there is so much office politics and drama that there is never a dull moment. This company sr. management also have a finger-pointing, blame others, and throw who they can under the bus. This job is so stressful.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease treat people with respect and learn how to have a little fun and stop being so uptight. I do not see how you all can compete with other MCO companies that have Christmas parties, wear jeans, more PTO, work from home policies, & market share.

    Avoid This Place

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Long Beach, CA

ProsSalary and Benefits are not bad

ConsToo many to list. Contractors are literally third class citizens particularly if you are an American. The place is run by H1s with a small scattering of Americans. Management is oppressive and completely out of touch with the yelling, threats, and pure nastiness that is this place. Expertise is completely wasted here since the average H1 has no idea what they are doing and choose to point fingers. Blame based environment where the least qualified is promoted. Don't waste your time here.
